Designed by Henning Larsen, Shaw Auditorium combines highly flexible, acoustically precise auditorium functionality with bright and spacious social spaces to create a "living room" for the campus community while providing a world-class venue for Hong Kong.
Located on a hillside south of the HKUST Clearwater Bay Campus, the auditorium is adapted to Hong Kong's subtropical climate. Its bold curved shapes stand out from the boxy buildings that surround it, highlighting its unique identity as an artistic and cultural venue.
