author:Bamboo said

If you study alone and have no friends, you are lonely and unheard.

I am bamboo, pay attention to me in the upper right corner, let's develop a good habit of reading together, stick to it together, share it together, and cheer together.

Today is the fifty-seventh day of the 100-day reading action plan.

Thank you all for your company.

The bibliography to be read during the 100-Day Reading Action Plan is:

On the first day of Mother Teresa's biography, I have finished reading it

The second to twenty-second days of Crime and Punishment have been read

The Count of Monte Cristo, days 23 to 52, has been read

The Meaning of Life, days 53 to 57, is in progress

After the New Year holidays, keep reading!

Today, I continue to read the book "The Meaning of Life", which is still a reply from a literary scholar about the meaning of life.

Sinclair Lewis

1) I think that there is no need to use religious belief to reflect the value of life, and religious belief is not necessarily a placebo for sadness, except for those who have grown up under religion and whose whole thoughts are under control, and who will feel lost if they lose their religious beliefs in adulthood.

2. Clarence Danno, 74, is an agnostic whose passion for life's adventures and spiritual thinking is stronger than that of an elderly bishop who yearns for and fears both heaven and hell.

John Erskine

1, human beings seem to have two misunderstandings of thinking. One is to forget that our spiritual life is as natural as our material life. Whether philosophers acknowledge that we have souls or not, we clearly possess something that can cause us to generate dreams and ideals and establish our own values. My personal tendency is to accept our innate nature in its entirety, without having to distinguish between dual and single nature. I would naturally worship the imagined end goal as a god, and I think others will do the same. It seems normal to me that people's views of God will vary greatly from time to time and from place to place. Clearly, this change of perception reflects our nature.

2) Thinking about life from this point of view, I think that religion is defined as an art, that is, the product of human self-discovery, which can be expressed in the form of Islam, Catholicism, or Soviet communism. If anyone is unhappy with this definition, it may be because they don't value art as much as I do.

3, the only way out for human beings is to live a life that they are willing to work hard for. I believe that people's aspirations to live memorable lives are the result of the sacredness of human nature, and that in life they will not harm others, be helpful, grow in wisdom, and their hearts will be more peaceful.

Charles Austin Beard

1. Perhaps the poet Milton said that truth is "abominable" when it comes, meaning that it disturbs our past delusions and beliefs. But sooner or later we will become familiar with the truth and incorporate it as part of life.

2) When we only care about our own selfish interests, we will shudder because of selfishness. We are also thrilled when called upon by noble action. This has nothing to do with gender, there is no distinction between nobles and lows, and the result is only a matter of the proportion of people in different situations.

3, the good life itself is the purpose, for this we must love life, enjoy life. Wisdom guides me to achieve a better life through intellectual labor. This is my philosophical thought, and it is on it that I run my little mill and circulate my thoughts.

The meaning of life is an issue that no one in china and abroad can clearly explain in ancient and modern times, and this is also something that everyone has been discussing.

We may never know when we are alive whether there really is an afterlife, or an eternal life, or whether this life is over and it is really over. However, living every day seriously and living in the present moment is indeed something we need to work hard to do all the time.

I am Bamboo, through every day's reading, recording my thoughts and feelings.

I am Bamboo, a friend who wants to keep reading and wants to be able to continue to export.

If you also want to keep reading, you can stick to punching cards with me and cheering together

【Friends you want, please me】

May you be your friend on the road to growth, a tree hole when you are sad and sad

I wish you happiness
