King Charles's $160,000 umbrella attracted attention, handmade, and the handle of the umbrella was a whole bamboo

Two years ago, when Charles was crown prince and Boris Johnson was prime minister, the two had a particularly interesting frame, although that occasion was not suitable for laughter.

When they attended a memorial service for the police together, Johnson's umbrella "got out of control" due to the high winds and flipped over, while Charles's remained motionless. Seeing the neighbor trying to control the umbrella, the old prince burst into a bright smile, and of course everyone else present laughed. Obviously, the umbrella used by Charles is more resistant to wind and rain.

We all know that the royal family will use high-quality things, how good is that, on February 10, local time, the Daily Mail revealed the umbrella used by Charles, who is now the king of England...

Charles, 74, uses an umbrella that is unique and can't even be treated the same by his assistants.

An umbrella recently used by the king came from Italy as a gift from former Belizean ambassador to Italy, Nunzio Alfredo D'Angieri, and was made by Mario Talarico, a fifth-generation umbrellamaker living in Naples.

The biggest feature of the umbrella is that the handle is made of a bamboo with no seams in the middle, and the umbrella support, umbrella surface, etc., are all installed or sewn by hand.

It is said that the umbrella was commissioned by Dangeli to make Talarico, and it was exquisite and chic, and as for the cost, that was not considered. It took Talarico five months to find the right bamboo for the umbrella in Asia (without specifying which country), followed by two weeks to make it.

"I know King Charles has a lot of umbrellas and he loves Italy, so I wanted to make him an umbrella that the world has never had before," says Talarico.

Since the handle is gorgeous enough, the umbrella surface cannot be sloppy, and it is made of a special waterproof silk and polyester blend. It is reported that Tararico is the only umbrella maker in the world who uses steam to shape a 180-degree curve and make a solid handle from whole wood (or bamboo).

And because the umbrellas are handmade, the shipment is not large, and only a few hundred are sold every year. Of course, there are even fewer of the ones that Charles used. It is reported that it is not easy to get the same amount from the king, but it is possible to do so, provided that you need to pay 20,000 pounds (about 160,000 RMB), which is obviously not suitable for most ordinary people.

Charles, on the other hand, doesn't always like the umbrella, as Tararico said, he has a lot of them.

Umbrellas, crutches... These seemingly unimportant things are a weapon for Charles, a gentleman of England, to show his taste. As a pure "blue-blooded aristocracy", he will not use those eye-catching logos to prove that he is rich enough, nor will he "accidentally" throw out the watch on his wrist to show his identity, from a tailor-made cashmere suit to a bamboo umbrella, his "luxury" is basically only understood by knowledgeable people.
