In January, Shanghai, the world's busiest container port, had a container throughput of more than 4.35 million TEUs, a new monthly high.

The container throughput of Yangshan Phase III and Waigaoqiao Phase IV reached 760,000 teu and 401,000 teu respectively, both setting new monthly highs for two terminal development projects.

To ensure a smooth supply chain for global economic and trade development, the Port of Shanghai has signed cooperation agreements with various groups and local governments, which will further optimize the shipping and port ecosystem.

Last year, the container throughput of Shanghai Port exceeded 47 million teu, ranking first in the world for 12 consecutive years.
