More than $6 billion in a single month TSMC's revenue reached a new high

After reaching a new high in December 2021, TSMC's revenue broke that record again in January this year, with monthly revenue exceeding $6 billion for the first time.

A few days ago, TSMC disclosed monthly revenue data showing that their revenue in January was NT$172.176 billion, or about $6.188 billion, up from $5.61 billion in December last year.

January's revenue hit a new high, which means that TSMC's revenue this month has increased significantly year-on-year.

According to TSMC data, in January 2021, their revenue was NT$126.749 billion, and the 172.176 billion yuan in January this year increased by 45.427 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35.8%. In December 2021, TSMC's revenue was NT$155.382 billion, compared with 10.8% in January this year.

TSMC's revenue in January maintained a significant year-on-year growth momentum and hit a new high, which means that the industry's demand for their production capacity remains strong. With chip shortages still ongoing, their revenue is still expected to reach new highs in the coming period.

At the same time, because Apple is a large customer of TSMC and the main customer of 5nm, an advanced process technology, TSMC's revenue reached a new high in December last year and January this year, which to some extent also means that consumer demand for the iPhone 13 is still strong.
