G Fat: Steam Deck users want a more expensive version
Recently, G Fat, co-founder of V News Agency, revealed in an interview with Edge Magazine that the company's most expensive Steam Deck version sells for $649.99, has 512gb of NVMe memory and anti-glare etching glass screen, which is by far the most popular version. This was a surprise for Valve's first foray into portable gaming PCs, as Valve believes price is a "key factor" in its success, but for the Steam Deck 2, price is certainly a consideration.
G Fat told Edge: "It's an example and we're a little surprised at what our customers are telling us. They're basically saying, 'We want a more expensive version,' in terms of horsepower performance or something. You know, that's why we always like to launch and sell new items. Because we can learn a lot from it, it also helps us think about the Steam Deck2 generation. ”
G Fat said he hopes other companies will join in and use the software support created by Valve to compete with Steam Deck. He also hinted that the company is interested in expanding the Steam Deck's gaming experience, rather than just replicating the portable experience of PC games.
