Recently, the Youth League Committee of Xinzhuo Town, Panyu District, together with the Xinzao Town Social Work Service Station, organized young volunteers to carry out the "River Patrol And I Do It" river patrol and moat action in Nanyueyong to further consolidate and improve the effectiveness of water environment governance.
Volunteers clean up the garbage around the river
At the event, social workers and youth volunteers divided into groups to carefully check the environmental sanitation, floating debris, water odor and sewage discharge along the banks of the river, and clean up the domestic garbage such as cigarette butts and plastic bottles found along the river to avoid these garbage falling into the river.
Distribute information materials to community residents
At the same time, social workers and volunteers distributed garbage sorting leaflets to past residents, randomly interviewed residents in Yongbian to understand their awareness of the river remediation project, and invited them to comment on the effectiveness of the city's black and odorous water remediation. According to the feedback of residents at Yongbian, the black odor of the river has been improved, the river surface and the shore are relatively clean, and the coast has become a good place for nearby villagers to move.
In the next stage, Xinzao Town will continue to carry out volunteer services for river patrol and moat, mobilize more young volunteers to participate in the water ecological environmental protection action, and jointly contribute to the construction of a beautiful river.
