"Lingnan culture is distinctive, because reform and opening up have brought us a culture of reform and innovation. Guangdong's culture has new qualities, new qualities, and new nature, and it is bound to be new. Nanfang +: What is your evaluation and feeling about the achievements of Guangdong's culturally strong province in the past five years, especially the overall creative achievements of Guangdong's literary circle?
Jiang Shuzhuo: My strongest feeling is that in recent years, the provincial party committee and the provincial government have attached great importance to the construction of a culturally strong province, and have taken bigger steps and invested more. Guangdong's literary creation can keep up with the times, and the pace of building a culturally strong province is consistent, and the overall trend is upward.
First of all, a culturally strong province must have a general history of literature. We are now working on the compilation of the 5-volume, 2-million-word General History of Guangdong Literature, which is an unprecedented initiative in Guangdong's history.
The Guangdong Writers Association celebrates the centenary of the founding of the Party with ten key works with red themes and the new book launch site of "Guangdong Literature Blue Book (2020)".
Second, in recent years, a hundred flowers have blossomed in Guangdong's literary circles and are colorful. The province has successively identified more than 70 major realistic and historical themes in Guangdong, major realistic themes and red themes in Guangdong, and the selection of topics for the creation of young writers in Guangdong Province, and is currently ushering in a harvest period.

Encourage writers to go deep into the two cooperation zones to collect styles

Jiang Shuzhuo: In the face of the historical opportunity and writing theme of "jointly building a humanistic bay area" and "shaping the humanistic spirit of the bay area", the Provincial Writers Association has made arrangements around the theme and achieved remarkable results. The reportage "China Bridge - The Road to realizing the Dream of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge" created by the writer Zeng Pingbiao won the Special Award of the "Five Ones Project" of the Central Propaganda Department.
Focusing on the inheritance and achievements of Guangdong Province's cultural context, the "Frontier of Prosperous China, the New Wave of the Bay Area of the Times - An Overview Exhibition of Guangdong Literature in a Hundred Years" is concentrated.
In recent years, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literary Alliance, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literary Review, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literature Seminar and other mechanisms and publications to promote the integration and development of literature in the Greater Bay Area have been established and established. At present, focusing on the development of the two cooperation zones of Qianhai and Hengqin, we advocate that more writers go deep into the two cooperation zones and Nansha to collect style and create reportage. In addition, Guangdong has made great achievements in poetry creation, and poetry magazines have been established in various prefectures and cities in Guangdong, and outstanding poets such as Yang Ke and Qiu Shuhong have used poetry to tell the story of the Greater Bay Area.
Giving full play to the unique advantages of the Greater Bay Area, Guangdong should actively "borrow ships to go to sea" and use the "super contact" status of Hong Kong and Macao to disseminate Guangdong's excellent culture overseas; with the help of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" Literary Development Forum, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literary Alliance and other excellent platforms to promote the translation and dissemination of more outstanding literary works in Guangdong.
Guangdong should build an industrial chain of online literature
South +: Guangdong is a major province of online literature and has also made remarkable achievements in the cultural industry. What suggestions do you have for Guangdong to promote the high-quality development of literature and these two fields in the next stage?
Jiang Shuzhuo: In Guangdong, there are more than 200,000 literary authors in the new era, more than 40,000 registered online authors, and more than 150 head writers; in the field of new cultural formats such as live e-commerce, online games, and digital music, Guangdong basically ranks among the best, and some fields are even the first in the country.

Guangdong is extremely successful in online literature, but it is still necessary to learn from the excellent experience of other provinces and form a complete industrial chain of literary IP into tv, film, animation and other cultural products. At the same time, Guangdong should also pay attention to the cultivation of outstanding young talents, let young literary and artistic talents stay, and create a good platform for their officers to start a business and provide preferential policies for sustainability.
Construct an academic genealogy of "Cantonese criticism"
Nanfang +: As the catalyst and advocate of "Cantonese criticism", can you talk about the achievements of "Cantonese criticism" in recent years and the next development suggestions?
Jiang Shuzhuo: In May 2016, the China Literary and Art Criticism Base of Jinan University, the Guangdong Literary and Art Critics Association, and the Yangcheng Evening News jointly held an academic seminar on "Literary Criticism and the Generation of Chinese Literary History in the 20th Century", at which Guangdong scholars put forward the topic of "Cantonese Criticism", which was recognized and respected by many scholars. At that time, I thought that the voice of "Cantonese criticism" could always cut the pulse of the times, reflecting a rigorous attitude, a decent scale, an open angle, and an elegant demeanor. Under the guidance of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and the special funding of Guangdong Provincial Propaganda and Cultural Development, as well as the support of the Guangdong People's Publishing House, Chen Jianhui and Zhang Peizhong, chen Jianhui and Zhang Peizhong co-edited the "Cantonese Criticism Series", which has published 38 kinds so far.

Our intention is to construct an academic genealogy of "Cantonese criticism", so starting from the academic masters such as Huang Zunxian, Kang Youwei, and Liang Qichao in modern times, and continuing to the modern and contemporary Liang Zongdai, Huang Yaomian, Xiao Yin, Zhong Jingwen, Huang Xiuji, Rao Pengzi, Xie Wangxin, etc. are all our research objects. Naturally, paying attention to the current literary phenomenon is also the focus of "Cantonese criticism". Therefore, in 2020, the Provincial Writers Association ran the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literary Review" magazine to further help the "Cantonese Criticism". In the next stage, we will also promote the establishment of literary criticism bases in the province, encourage young literary critics to grow up as soon as possible, and pay more attention to and promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literature and Humanistic Bay Area. At the same time, the next batch of 12 books will be published, and the final "Cantonese Criticism" series will reach 50.
My experience is that as long as we have a broad vision, an open mind, and pay more attention to the development of literature in Guangdong Province and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we can make better literary activity planning and literary organization work for the construction and development of Guangdong's culturally strong province.
