The 2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Charity Annual Conference was launched

On April 23, the 2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Charity Annual Conference, jointly organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the Hong Kong Lowce Culture Foundation and the Macau Foundation, was officially launched. Li Bin, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, attended the launching ceremony.

The launching ceremony was held in Beijing, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and was held in the form of a combination of online and offline. More than 150 people, including representatives of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Council of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, expert representatives of the research center, and representatives of young people from both sides of the strait, Hong Kong and Macao, attended the event. 150,000 people watched the launch ceremony through Tencent Live.

At the launching ceremony, young athletes participating in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics were guests to tell inspirational stories for young people from both sides of the strait, Hong Kong and Macao. Zhang Chutong, an athlete of the Chinese short track speed skating national team, the third place in the women's 3000m relay of short track speed skating at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and the third batch of the Honda Dream Fund of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, told the story of his conquest for the country, winning glory for the country, overcoming injuries and difficulties for his dreams, fighting tenaciously and realizing his dream of the Winter Olympics. Jin Hexiao, a female alpine skier from Hong Kong, China, shared her story with the Beijing Winter Olympics, saying that she is proud to represent Hong Kong in Beijing and looks forward to more Hong Kong children falling in love with skiing and winning glory for the country in the international arena in the future.

Representatives of young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan respectively told their unforgettable experiences of participating in public welfare activities and the growth and self-confidence they gained on the road to public welfare.

Wang Chuqiao, a junior high school student at Guangzhou Weiming School, shared his story of doing public welfare from the age of 10. Du Lowen, a sophomore at Wang Kam Fai Primary and Secondary School affiliated with Hong Kong Baptist University, recounted his upbringing of "what should be done", "like to do" and "enjoy it" in helping others to help themselves. Chow Ka Yew, a senior at Macau Yue Hua Secondary School, said that through volunteer service, he has more affirmed his value and experienced "helping others as the basis of happiness" in the process of continuously coping with difficult challenges. Chen Wencheng, captain of the Taiwan Youth Winter Olympics City Volunteer Service Team, told the story of organizing Taiwanese youth to serve the Beijing Winter Olympics.

On the day of the launch of the annual meeting, the opening press conference of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Public Welfare Practice Research Report 2022", the Symposium of directors of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and the seminar of the expert group were also held.
