FAW Jiefang signed a power battery supply and demand linkage agreement with CATL

Tramway News: Recently, FAW Jiefang and Ningde Times signed the "Five-Year Supply and Demand Linkage Agreement" in Changchun, Jilin Province, to strengthen the close cooperation between the two sides in the supply side of power battery products.

According to the agreement, the two sides will establish a deep cooperative relationship based on strategic cooperation with complementary advantages and win-win cooperation, so as to achieve a good match between supply and demand, and improve the efficient linkage of all parties.

On September 29, 2021, FAW Jiefang released the "15333" strategy, that is, the new energy strategy of "Blue Road Action", planning to sell 120,000 new energy vehicles in 2025, accounting for 20% of total sales, with revenue reaching 50 billion yuan; in 2030, 320,000 new energy vehicles, accounting for 50% of total sales, with revenue reaching 150 billion yuan; and in 2035, it will sell 500,000 new energy vehicles, accounting for more than 70% of total sales, and revenue of more than 250 billion yuan.

It is reported that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, FAW Jiefang will invest more than 20 billion yuan to build a global new energy innovation base of "four countries and nine places" with Changchun as its headquarters; in terms of production capacity layout, it will invest more than 10 billion yuan to build an exclusive base for fuel cell vehicles and systems featuring a "zero-carbon factory" and a hydrogen energy industry cluster, and strive to build an exclusive base for pure electric vehicles and power batteries featuring wind and light green energy, and gradually build an exclusive base covering northeast China, north China, east China, south China, New energy resource groups in key national markets such as the western region。

In fact, as early as 2018, FAW Jiefang and Ningde Era began to cooperate in the development of heavy-duty truck models, and carried out all-round and multi-scenario supply cooperation in urban construction, slag, dumping, bus and other fields, and the signing of the supply-demand linkage agreement was based on the comprehensive cooperation upgrade based on the years of cooperative relationship between the two sides.

FAW Jiefang said that the company and CATL times have joined forces to establish a cooperative relationship of mutual trust, which will achieve industrial interaction, mutual benefit and win-win results, continuously improve the market competitiveness of both sides, accelerate the landing of FAW Jiefang New Energy's "15333" strategy, jointly promote the high-quality development of the new energy commercial vehicle industry, and help achieve the goal of carbon neutrality.
