This is the real scene in August 1985 where Fu Quanyou (3rd from left) and political commissar Shi Yuxiao (1st from right) completed the task of the Laoshan Round Battle and withdrew their positions and were warmly welcomed by the people of Wenshan Prefecture.

Fu Quanyou, commander of the First Army of the Nanjing Military Region, and Shi Yuxiao, political commissar, commanded their troops to repulse 19 attacks of the Vietnamese army camp and 102 attacks below the company level during the seven-month Battle of Laoshan, and achieved the brilliant record of annihilating 5,007 enemy troops at the minimum cost of sacrificing 397 people.

Commander Fu Quanyou was promoted to commander of the Chengdu Military Region, and later transferred to the commander of the Lanzhou Military Region, director of the General Logistics Department and chief of the general staff, and was promoted to the rank of general in 1993. The 92-year-old veteran general is in good health!

After the war, Shi Yuxiao was promoted to deputy political commissar and political commissar of Nanjing Military Region, political commissar of Guangzhou Military Region, and was promoted to the rank of general in 1994! He died in 2005 at the age of 72!
