On February 4, Gustave Monce successfully flashed microsoft Surface Duo mobile phones into the Windows 11 operating system. The developer had previously ported Windows 10 to the Lumia 950 XL phone, which came pre-installed with Windows 10 Mobile (formerly Windows Phone), and Microsoft has stopped maintaining Windows 10 Mobile.

According to public information, the Surface Duo was launched in September 2020, which is the first dual-screen mobile phone in Microsoft's Surface series.
