Recently, a "Blowing the Horn of the Times - The Year of the Tiger New Year Chao Opera Concert" was held at the Shantou Lin Baixin Convention and Exhibition Center, and the Guangdong Dramatists Association and the Guangdong Chao Opera Development and Reform Foundation gathered famous artists in the Chao opera industry to work together to present the audience with a tide-flavored, full-flavored and year-round chao opera art feast. This is also an important move to connect nostalgia and friendship, do a good job in the "overseas Chinese" articles in the new era, revitalize the art of Chao opera, and promote the inheritance, reform, innovation and development of Chao opera art.

According to reports, the concert takes "blowing the clarion call of the times" as the theme, adhering to the concept of "art singing for the times and lyrical for the people", closely following the theme of the times, reflecting the responsibility of Chao opera artists, taking into account the inheritance and reform and innovation of Chao opera, and showing the profound heritage and youthful vitality of Chao opera opera art. The event was sponsored by the Guangdong Dramatists Association and the Guangdong Chaoju Development and Reform Foundation, and co-organized by Guangdong Chao Theatre, Shantou Culture and Art School, Jieyang Radio and Television Station, and Chaozhou Radio and Television Station.
Chao opera has a history of more than 500 years, enjoys a reputation at home and abroad, and has become a family bond connecting Chaoshan people at home and abroad. In 2006, Chao opera was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. General Secretary Xi Jinping also pointed out during his inspection in Guangdong that it is necessary to strengthen the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, actively cultivate inheritors, and make intangible cultural heritage bloom more charming.
In the concert that night, the first concert brought together famous Chao opera actors from all walks of life in Chaoshan cities, including Yao Xuanqiu, an 88-year-old famous chao opera artist who was praised and cared for by General Secretary Xi Jinping; Chen Xuexi, Zhang Yihuang, Lin Yanyun, famous actors who won the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award; and Fang Zhanrong and Zheng Shunying, non-hereditary inheritors of state-level Chao opera; zheng Jianying, Wang Shaoyu, Zhan Shaojun, Lin Chufa, Chen Hongfei, Li Sihai, and national second-level actors Chen Lianzhong and Xu Jiana.

It is understood that the Guangdong Provincial Chaoju Opera Development and Reform Foundation actively promotes the cultivation of drama talents, and subsidizes the holding of the "Chaoju Opera Performing Talents Advanced Training Class" and the "Xiqu Performance (Gao Qiben) Academic Class"; subsidizes a group of trainees to go to colleges and universities for further study, subsidizes shantou culture and art schools to create chao opera "Peach Blossom Fan", and participates in the Seventh China Campus Drama Festival and wins the Outstanding Repertoire Award. In order to fully display the splendid and gratifying scene of today's Chao opera stage and the vigorous style of the emerging talents of Chao opera, the second concert was performed by a group of young and middle-aged outstanding actors who are active on today's stage, such as Chen Huanze, Xie Jishun, Wu Yudong, and other national first-class actors, who gave performances such as "Peach Blossom Fan", "Four Ugly Spring", "Danxing Joint Singing", "Love Song" and so on. Colorful ink, singing the joy of the pear garden; neon clothes are splendid, greeting all the families in peace.
It is reported that the concert was also broadcast on Shantou Television, Chaozhou Television, Jieyang Television and Thailand's CCTV, Singapore TV 8 Cable Channels, Malaysia National Television and Xinghai Live Broadcasting Platform, and had a huge response at home and abroad. As a spiritual home that unites the hearts of overseas Chinese at home and abroad, Chao opera has built a cloud bridge that condenses the nostalgia of overseas Chinese and strengthens the Chinese cultural identity of overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese, and helps to draw concentric circles of unity among overseas Chinese.
