Born in 1962, Guo Mingcheng entered the Chao'an County Literature and Art Training Class in 1978 and became one of the first actors to study Chao'an opera costume drama, and then successively engaged in instrument playing and Chao opera music creation. A few days ago, Chaozhou's "Chaozhou Chaozhou Chaoju Protection and Inheritance Regulations" was officially implemented, and Guo Mingcheng gave professional advice as a consultant during the research process. The Ordinance aims to strengthen the protection, inheritance, dissemination and development of Chao opera. Guo Mingcheng believes that at present, Chao opera is facing the shortage of young talents and the weakening of the dialect environment. The small number of good seedlings who are really specialized in Chaozhou opera performances is a challenge to the future of Chaozhou opera; and the inheritance of the next generation of Teochew dialect is another big problem, and there is no Teochew opera. Guo Mingcheng said that the "Regulations on the Protection and Inheritance of Chaozhou Chao opera" can make the protection of Chao opera have a law to follow, "It is definitely a good thing to stand up." ”
