Chen Peng stressed that Chao opera has a history of more than 590 years since its birth, dating back to Ming Xuande's sixth year (1431) "Liu Xibi Jinchao".

The Post-Tide Troupe underwent restructuring and mergers. After the reform and opening up, from 1979 to 1989, the second "golden decade" of Chao opera, the creation of costume drama was carried out normally, the fine works of Chao opera were frequently produced, the famous characters were hot, and a new round of "chao opera fever" appeared, and chao opera frequently "went to sea" for cultural exchanges to Thailand and other places.
"Even after undergoing changes, Chao opera still retains its roots and its source intact, which is inseparable from the spirit of generations of Chao opera people who attach importance to protecting and excavating traditions." As a representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage drama, Chen Peng issued an initiative, "To promote protective creation, because new things can be constantly created, but once the traditional culture is lost, it will not come back." ”

Subsequently, Li Yingqun had a heated discussion with Zheng Shunying, a famous Chao opera actor who attended the event, on the content of the lyrics, and the humorous dialogue led the atmosphere to a climax.
