According to the "Guangxi Fire" WeChat public account, on February 3, the farewell ceremony of the two Guangxi firefighters Ou Baoer and Wei Jide martyrs who died Chinese New Year's Eve night was held at the Hechi City Funeral Home.
The families of the martyrs Opaul and Vijid, their former comrades-in-arms and friends, as well as the representatives of the masses from all walks of life who spontaneously went there, sent the hero on his last journey with great sorrow.

Huang Ming, secretary of the party committee and minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management, Qiong Se, member of the party committee of the Ministry of Emergency Management and director of the Fire Rescue Bureau, Zhan Shouwang, secretary of the party committee and political commissar of the Fire Rescue Bureau, Lan Tianli, chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Cai Lixin, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee and executive vice chairman, Xu Yongjun, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee and vice chairman of the Autonomous Region, and other leaders laid wreaths to the martyrs in their personal names.
At 10:00 a.m. on February 3, Wang Wei, member of the Party Committee and deputy political commissar of the Fire and Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Emergency Management, Zhou Chengfang, vice chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government, vice chairman of the CPPCC And director of the Public Security Department, Zheng Xi, chief of the Fire Rescue Corps, Huang Shaoming, political commissar, Huang Aixing, chief engineer of the Emergency Management Department, Wang Jun, deputy secretary of the Hechi Municipal Party Committee and mayor, Kong Jianzhong, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, Li Wenbo, vice mayor and director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and other leaders and people from all walks of life slowly walked into the scene of the farewell ceremony, bowing, offering flowers, and paying respects to the remains of the martyrs.
"They may be born ordinary, but the glory of death, for the country and the people, is heavier than Mount Tai!"
In his eulogy, the leader of the Hechi City Fire Rescue Detachment said that deeply remembering the martyrs Ou Baoer and WeiJid is to carry forward their political qualities of loyalty to the party and courageous mission; to learn from their heroic spirit of charging forward and sacrificing their lives and forgetting their deaths; to practice the purpose and adhere to the original intention of serving the people; and to take root in the grassroots and make meritorious contributions. They are worthy of the cultivation of their parents, the education of the organization, and the entrustment of the party and the people. Their heroic feats moved the world, showing noble professionalism and selfless dedication.
After the farewell ceremony, the hearse of the martyrs Opaul and Wejid returned to their hometowns under the escort of their former comrades-in-arms.
The party committees, governments, and relevant departments of Huanjiang and Du'an counties held mourning activities separately; in jinchengjiang district, as well as in Ou Baoer's hometown of Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County and The hometown of the Weijide martyr Du'an Yao Autonomous County, at various intersections through which the hearse passed, people from all walks of life braved the severe cold to bid farewell to the martyrs, and many people could not suppress their grief, wept bitterly, and sent the martyrs "home" with tears.
A "family portrait" that can no longer be put together
On January 31, Chinese New Year's Eve night, in the camp area of the Diandu Fire Rescue Station in Dahua County, Hechi City, Guangxi Province, Ou Baoer, Wei Jide and their comrades took a "family portrait" to record the duty of the Spring Festival of another year. However, this has become a "family portrait" that can no longer be put together...
At 23:58 that day, before the clock rang at midnight, the alarm bell suddenly rang. The command center of the Hechi Fire Rescue Detachment received an alarm that a fire had broken out in a private sofa production workshop in Dahua County, and 7 people were trapped.
O'Paul, Wejard, and their comrades immediately boarded the vehicle and set off. After the fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they found that the fire was developing rapidly, the first floor had been fully overheated, and the second floor was partially overheated, showing an upward spread trend, seriously threatening the trapped people inside. The on-site command immediately launched rescue and evacuated 5 trapped people. After confirming at the scene, it was found that there was still an old man and 1 child trapped in the fire site, the location was unknown, the situation was unknown, and it was very urgent.
O'Paul took the initiative to ask for help, and immediately led Wejid and others to search and rescue the trapped people down the stairs layer by floor again, in the process of searching and rescuing the second-floor rooms one by one, a room suddenly burst into flames, and O'Paul and Wejid, who had been searching and rescuing them, were trapped and sent out a message for help and reinforcements.
The on-site emergency rescue team entered the interior of the fire site to search and rescue, and found Thatjid and Obauer, who were in a comatose state, on the stair platform on the second and third floors and in the southwest room on the third floor, who were rescued by the medical staff at the scene, died of serious injuries and died heroically. At the time of his death, O'Paul was only 26 years old and Wejid was only 23 years old.
In the end, all 7 trapped people were rescued, and none of them were in danger of life.
According to the Guangxi Rule of Law Daily, O'Paul said that after this Spring Festival, he will take leave to go home and get married, "if she doesn't go back, she won't wait for me", but his words are full of happiness and expectation. Wejid is also getting engaged, and the cover of the circle of friends is a photo of him delivering flowers to his nurse's girlfriend. On January 31, he sent the last circle of friends to his girlfriend: "Paste your photo to send the circle of friends, Happy New Year my little cute." ”
On February 1, the first day of the New Year, in the camp area of the Dahua County Electric Capital Fire Rescue Station, the comrades who returned to the team sorted out the equipment used by the police and returned to their places, and they ate lunch in the canteen at nearly one o'clock in the afternoon, and everyone looked at the position where Opaul and Wei Jide often sat, silent, and no one moved chopsticks. Instructor Zhou Huaming was full of tears and took the lead in eating: "Everyone has to eat no matter how sad they are, Ou Vice and Xiao Wei have always been with us, and before the year has passed, we will continue to fight." ”
Zheng Zhijun noticed that the masses in Guangxi Dahua Yao Autonomous County continued to spontaneously send mourning flowers to the door of the brigade where the two people lived before. In the handwritten cards of the mourning flowers, the masses wrote touching words : "Thank you to the hero for giving up his small family for everyone, protecting the peace of the party" and "paying tribute to the hero".
He was approved as a martyr and posthumously honored as a first-class individual
Ou Baoer, male, Zhuang ethnicity, born in December 1995, Huanjiang, Guangxi, joined the fire fighting work in September 2014, a member of the Communist Party of China, college education, Deputy Station Chief of the Electric Fire Rescue Station of the Hechi Detachment of the Guangxi Fire Rescue Corps, junior professional and technical position, has participated in more than 300 fire fighting and rescue battles, rescued more than 100 trapped people.
Wei Jide, male, Zhuang ethnicity, born in August 1998, Guangxi Du'an people, joined the fire fighting work in October 2020, a member of the Communist Youth League, college education, Guangxi Fire Rescue Corps Hechi Detachment Electric Capital Fire Rescue Station combatant, full-time government firefighter, has participated in more than 60 fire fighting and rescue battles, rescued more than 20 trapped people.

After the sacrifice of Opaul and WeiJid, the main responsible comrade of the Ministry of Emergency Management asked for all-out efforts to do a good job in the aftermath of the pension work, expressed condolences to the families of the two people, and sent a working group to Hechi City to guide the aftermath pension work.
On February 2, the Ministry of Emergency Management and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region respectively approved Ou Baoer and Wei Jide as martyrs, and the Fire and Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Emergency Management posthumously recorded the first class of personal merit for the two martyrs.
On the same day, the Guangxi District Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Guangxi Youth Federation decided to posthumously award the "Guangxi Youth May Fourth Medal" to Ou Baoer and Wei Jide.
