But if Rulai was the Bodhi Ancestor, there was no need to crush Sun Wukong under the Five Elements Mountain. Sun Wukong had such respect for the teacher that he only needed to show his true identity, and then asked Sun Wukong to escort the Tang monks to learn the scriptures after five hundred years, how dare Sun Wukong not follow?

Since Sun Wukong agreed to join the sutra team, it was equivalent to converting to the Buddhist group, so naturally he had to give him a Dharma name, however, when he learned that Guanyin Bodhisattva decided to name him, Sun Wukong immediately refused: "I already have a name, called Sun Wukong." ”
Guanyin Bodhisattva said casually, "There are also two people in front of me who have surrendered, and it is the word 'enlightenment' that ranks." You are also the word 'enlightenment' today, but you are in harmony with him, very good, very good. ”
The two people mentioned by Guanyin Bodhisattva refer to the Eight Precepts of the Pig and the Sand Monk. After the two decided to join the sutra-taking team, Guanyin Bodhisattva named them Wu Neng and Wu Jing respectively. But isn't that a coincidence?
If Guanyin Bodhisattva first met Sun Wukong, learned that Sun Wukong's name was Wukong, and then named the Eight Precepts and Sand Monk Wu Neng and Wu Jing, this is normal, but the key to the problem is that Guanyin Bodhisattva first met the Eight Precepts and Sand Monk, and then just gave them a Dharma name of The Ranking of Enlightenment Characters.
If Guanyin Bodhisattva is the Bodhi Ancestor, all this is not surprising, after all, Sun Wukong's name was taken by Bodhi Grandmaster, and since the Eight Precepts of the Pig and the Sand Monk will become Sun Wukong's disciples, it is natural to take the name of the word Wu.
