This is also the 11th batch of mainland domestic automobiles exported overseas since 2022.

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port is the country's largest automobile import and export port, of which Haitong Terminal undertakes more than 90% of Shanghai's automobile exports, and has continued to maintain rapid export growth since June 2020. According to Shanghai Customs data, Shanghai exported 484,000 vehicles in 2021, with an export value of 57.01 billion yuan, all of which hit a record high, an increase of 136% and 206% year-on-year, respectively.

China's car Yangwei overseas, mainly from two reasons. At first, due to the suspension of a large number of factories under the complex epidemic situation overseas, some of the production capacity that could have been completed locally was transferred to China, which was the first to resume work and production. But the deeper reason is that the mainland's own brand cars have been deeply cultivating overseas markets for many years, and are gradually entering the harvest period and seizing opportunities in the epidemic. From 2020, the European Union opened the strictest carbon emission regulations in history, the transition period is only one year, and European countries have increased or expanded the subsidy amount and scope of new energy vehicles, and Europe has quickly become the world's largest new energy vehicle market. From this, Chinese automobiles rely on excellent technology and quality to undertake the explosive growth in demand for new energy vehicles in Europe, of which SAIC Maxus EV30 new energy vehicles began to export to the alpine region of Norway; Jiangxi Province's European version of Aichi U5, sent from Shanghai to Belgium and France; Geely's PoleStar brand new energy vehicles also opened the global delivery curtain, exporting 1285 units to Europe in June 2020 alone.

Therefore, even if the production capacity of overseas automobile factories is gradually restored, China's domestic automobile exports are still in play, and the number of domestic cars boarding ships from Shanghai Haitong Wharf is still rising sharply. It is reported that since 2022, the number of cars exported from Haitong Wharf across the country has reached more than 88,000, a net increase of 33,000 vehicles over the same period in 2021, an increase of 60% year-on-year.
Haitong Wharf also frequently appears "car density", the dock yard has to be "carefully calculated", by leasing peripheral venues, moving drivers to increase the frequency of site mergers, etc., to cope with the peak of vehicle exports. Shanghai Waigaoqiao Customs responds to temporary orders, weekend orders and expedited orders at any time, starts a 24-hour service mechanism, sends more manpower into the port to work overtime, opens a green channel for inspection, and ensures zero delay in customs clearance for automobile exports.
