On January 21st, sponsored by Shenzhen Luohu District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, Shenzhen Luohu Art Museum and Shanxi Yongle Palace Mural Art Museum, the "Looking at the Magic into the Truth - The Art Treasure of Yongle Palace Shenzhen Luohu Special Exhibition" was launched at Luohu Art Museum. The exhibition comprehensively displays the artistic treasures of Yongle Palace with a variety of exhibition techniques, highlighting the superb architecture, mural art and Taoist culture of Yongle Palace. This is the first time that the artistic treasures of Yongle Palace have been concentrated in Shanxi and a successful attempt to implement cross-border cooperation between museums and art galleries, and will be exhibited until the end of March 2022.
After nearly a year of meticulous preparation, the exhibition has carefully selected 43 sets of exhibits and dedicated it to the majority of Shenzhen citizens as a new year special exhibition of Luohu Art Museum before the Spring Festival in 2022. The exhibition integrates modern design concepts in the overall atmosphere of traditional history and art, presents high-definition images of murals of Sanqing Hall, Pure Yang Hall and Chongyang Hall with 3D printing technology, interprets the artistic treasures of Yongle Palace by combining modern exhibition technology such as digital restoration and traditional craft restoration, and interprets the superb murals, sculptures and ancient architectural art of Yongle Palace.

The exhibition is divided into three units: "Huanghuang Giant Production, Danqing on the Wall, and Looking at the Magic into the Truth", through the exhibition, the audience can experience the extraordinary charm of the Murals of Yongle Palace, display the rich cultural heritage resources contained in Shanxi represented by Yongle Palace in multiple dimensions, and create a Yongle Palace Art Exhibition with strong ornamentality, high interactive experience and wide word-of-mouth publicity.
The first part, "Huanghuang Giant System", interprets the source of Yongle Palace as the source of the Quanzhen Sect's Eastern Ancestral Garden and the architectural characteristics, among the selected exhibits, there are many large-scale yuan stele rubbings for the first time, these Yuan Dynasty inscriptions are exquisitely written, magnificent, for the audience to understand the source and development of Yongle Palace provides rare historical materials; the second part, "Danqing on the Wall", reflects the wonderful mural art of Yongle Palace, with moi, painted paintings, bucket arches and other architectural models to interpret the majestic and magnificent Yuan Dynasty official architectural characteristics of Yongle Palace; the third part" Look at the magic into the truth", focusing on the mural art of Yongle Palace, in a variety of exhibition forms and technologies to exhibit the wonderful murals of Yongle Palace, there are 80s famous artists in the traditional techniques to draw the Three Qing Hall Chaoyuan map part, there are up to 4.2 meters, using 3D printing technology to produce the current largest domestic Sanqing Hall East and West two paved original large mural "Chaoyuan Map", there are high-definition murals exhibited using animation and digital restoration technology, these different exhibition technology can help the audience multi-perspective, Multi-sensory understanding of the subtleties of the murals of Yongle Palace. Located in Ruicheng County, Shanxi Province, Yongle Palace is the most complete preserved Official-style building of the Yuan Dynasty in mainland China, one of the three ancestral courts of the Quanzhen Sect, and was listed as the first batch of national key protection units in 1961. According to legend, this is the birthplace of Lü Dongbin, the ancestor of the Taoist Quanzhen Sect. In the last year of the Jin Dynasty, with the rise of the Quanzhen Sect, presided over by Song Defang and Pan Dechong, disciples of Gao Daoqiu, the Lü Ancestral Hall was expanded into a Pure Yang Temple, and in the second year of Yuan Dingzong (1247), it was awarded the palace quota by the imperial court and rebuilt as the Great Chunyang Wanshou Palace, and the main hall project was completed in the third year of the Yuan Dynasty (1262). Its architectural style is boldly innovated and created on the basis of inheriting the traditions of the Song and Jin Dynasties, forming a typical Yuan Dynasty characteristic, there are no auxiliary buildings such as auxiliary halls on both sides of the central axis of the palace, the overall layout is sparse, the single building is magnificent, the thick bucket arches are stacked and interlaced, and the carvings are exquisite and clear.

What is particularly important is that in the Dragon and Tiger Hall, Sanqing Hall, Pure Yang Hall and Chongyang Hall of Yongle Palace, there are a total of 1005.68 square meters of Yuan Dynasty murals, which is a typical representative of the grand scale, rich theme and superb painting skills in the existing temple murals in China. The essence of the mural paintings in Yongle Palace is "Chaoyuan Tu", which uses the traditional brush heavy color outline painting method to depict the grand scene of the gods of the Three Realms worshiping the Three Qings, the painting style follows the Tang and Song Dynasties, with a concise and varied brush, playing a rich expressiveness of the line, and using the process of asphalt powder and gold to highlight the focus of the picture. The images of more than 280 gods and immortals in the picture are different, and the hierarchy is strict, which vividly shows the emperor's table of worship, the dignified face of the jade girl, and the threat of gods and ghosts. The murals of the Pure Yang Hall and chongyang hall of Yongle Palace are based on the method of dividing landscape figures and through-view comic strips, painting the legends and stories of the lives of Lü Dongbin and Wang Chongyang, the murals are colored with green as the main color block, and the painting content reflects the Taoist culture and is close to secular life, which is wonderful. Therefore, the murals of Yongle Palace have reached a very high level in both production and painting, which not only reflects the religious culture of the Taoist Quanzhen sect at that time, but also has important reference value for reflecting the Taoist culture and social life in the Song and Jinyuan periods.
