In the fields of information, computing and communication, a total of 26 scholars have been inducted into the 2021 AAAS Fellowship.

Among them is Yann LeCun, winner of the 2018 Turing Award, one of the big three in deep learning, and chief scientist of Meta.

It is worth mentioning that Rui Yong, chief technology officer of Lenovo Group, is the only Chinese scholar in the field who has been elected as an academician of AAAS.

Computer field: LeCun, Lenovo Rui Yong

Yann LeCun is director of artificial intelligence research at Meta and a professor of computer science, neuroscience, and electrical engineering at New York University.

LeCun, the great god, must not need to repeat it, so let's insert an interesting little story here:

At a 1985 symposium in Les Houches in the French Alps, LeCun met Hinton's close collaborator, Terry Sejnowski, whose work on backpropagation had not yet been published. A few months later, when Hinton met in Paris, LeCun was invited to a summer symposium at Carnegie Mellon University and spent a year as a postdoc in a new research group in Hinton, Toronto.

Twenty years later, in 2004, he partnered with Hinton to establish a project on neural computing and adaptive perception through the Canadian Institute for Advanced Study (CIFAR). Since 2014, he has co-directed the project with his co-winner Yoshua Bengio, which was later renamed "Learning in Machines & Brains".
