Tesla Motors' total revenue for the fourth quarter was $17.719 billion, up 65 percent from $10,744 million in the year-ago quarter; net profit was $2,343 million, compared to $296 million in the same period last year; and net income attributable to common shareholders was $2,321 million, up 760 percent from $270 million in the year-ago quarter, the report showed.

It is reported that Tesla officially announced the 4680 battery cell in September 2021, which is known as a 5-fold increase in the energy density of the single body, an increase of 16% in the mileage of the vehicle, a 6-fold increase in electricity compared to a polar ear battery, and a 6-fold increase in power output.
This "revolutionary" battery cell has triggered a hot discussion in the industry as soon as it was unveiled, which can not only increase the mileage by 16%, but also save 86% of the cost, which will make Tesla's new car have a more affordable price, and everyone has been looking forward to the listing of the 4680 battery cell model.
According to previous reports, the 4680 battery is wider in diameter and higher in height than the previous 21700 battery, composed of only 950 cells, and the energy density is about 300kWh/kg.
At the same time, the 4680 battery also uses laser electrodeless ear technology to remove the main heating components of the battery, the internal resistance is reduced, and the thermal stability and controllability of the battery are higher.
