Deng Shiru (1743-1805), first known as Yan, was a Qing Dynasty seal engraver and calligrapher, and the founder of Deng Pai seal carving. A famous calligrapher, seal engraver, and epigrapher of the Qing Dynasty, the founder of the "Deng School" of seal carving. He took Qin Lisi and Tang Liyang Bing as his sect, and slightly participated in the meaning, called Shenpin. Deng Shiru's artistic achievements in calligraphy are mainly manifested in the achievements of seals and li. He first learned Li Si and Li Yangbing, and later learned the "Zen Guo Mountain Stele", "Sangong Mountain Stele", "Tianfa Divine Stele", Shi Gu Wen, Yi Instrument Style, Han Stele and so on. Its font is micro square, close to the Qin Han Wadang and Han Stele Forehead, breaking through the barriers of the jade seal for thousands of years, and opening up a new face. Its Calligrapher Fa Han Stele, but the knot body changes its flat square to rectangular, the strokes change its flowing to solemn, and the chapter law is different from its strict and majestic, making the Qing Dynasty Lishu style unique imagery. Deng Shiru is also well-versed in other books. Its calligraphy takes the six dynasties stele version of the Law, and also takes the tang dynasty Ouyang Inquiry and Ouyang Tong father and son posture, the square circle pen is used interchangeably, the knots are dense, and there is a state of cutting through the iron and pulling out thousands of jun. Its cursive writing mainly absorbs the Jin and Tang grass methods, and the penmanship is dignified and slow, making good use of flying white, and getting old and spicy, smoke and rain. It is so outstanding that its calligraphy art was pushed as the first in the Qing Dynasty at that time.

Deng Shiru's "Seal Book of a Thousand Characters" is round when it is written, and it is combined with reverse and smooth. The pen is pregnant with a round tip, often in the uniform force of the pen to the end of the slight mention of the front exposed to the collection, or virtual recovery of the pen, both to get the strength of the health and no false tip of the disease.
