On the morning of the 25th, the "New Era of Reading Beauty, a New Journey of Happiness" - the exhibition of peasant paintings in the centenary of the founding of the Party was officially opened at the Jinling Library. This exhibition is a 2021 annual funding project of Nanjing Art Foundation, co-sponsored by Jinling Library and Jiangsu Farmers' Calligraphy and Painting Research Association. Since the launch of the collection of works in this exhibition, peasant painters from the six major painting townships of Nanjing, Xuzhou, Nantong, Huai'an, Yancheng and Zhenjiang in the province have actively responded and actively participated, submitting a total of 156 paintings, and then selecting 100 works to participate in the exhibition through 7 expert judges. These 100 works, painted by the peasant masses themselves, show the vigorous and upward cultural strength of the new countryside with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The atmosphere of the first exhibition was warm, and readers flocked to enjoy the rural style and patriotic enthusiasm in the paintings. At the expert seminar held after the opening ceremony, the participating experts and scholars expressed their opinions and conducted a heated discussion from the aspects of overall planning and organization of the event and the artistry and theme of the collected works from a professional perspective. Experts unanimously agreed that the theme of this exhibition is high, which fully reflects the achievements of the rural cultural construction and development of "strong, rich and high" in new Jiangsu.
