Datu Sanyang, the character Xiaohui (孝回, Xiaohui), the number Ofe Sanyang. He is a master of contemporary Chinese landscape painting and a tutor for postgraduate students. He is a researcher of the Chinese Academy of Painting of the Chinese Academy of Arts of the Ministry of Culture, the executive director of the Central Academy of Fine Arts of the China Democratic League, the deputy director of the Central Cultural Committee of the China Democratic League, and a visiting professor of the School of Art of Xiamen University, the School of Fine Arts of Shaanxi Normal University, the School of Design of Jingdezhen Ceramics College, and the School of Fine Arts of Jiangsu Normal University.
Born in 1955 in Taixing City, Jiangsu Province, he is a scholar of the past. He was admitted to the Nanjing Academy of Arts in the 1980s and is a scholar-type landscape painter with high attainments in contemporary poetry, calligraphy and painting.
Since 2007, he has held more than 20 solo exhibitions in art galleries and museums at home and abroad, and has won many awards. In 2012, he was named one of the top ten contemporary Chinese paintings; in 2016, he was invited to hold a solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taiwan; in 2017, he was selected as one of the top 500 ink painters in the world. In 2018, it was selected by the Ministry of Culture's Art Market magazine as a new model of contemporary Chinese painting in the new era.
