They created a number of calligraphy and painting works such as "Heart for the Winter Olympics", "Ice Rhyme", "Northern Scenery", "Ice and Snow are also Golden Mountains and Silver Mountains", "Carry forward the Olympic Spirit" and so on, expressing their support and blessings for the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Many visitors said that through the observation of the Winter Olympics and the ice and snow-themed calligraphy and painting exhibitions, they were strongly influenced by art, resulting in an exciting strength and national pride. As a region with a tradition of ice and snow sports, Shenyang will attract more people to fall in love with fashionable and healthy ice and snow culture and ice and snow sports, and highlight the power of culture in the process of promoting the revitalization and development of Shenyang.

After the opening ceremony of the calligraphy and painting exhibition, an academic seminar on "Welcoming the Winter Olympics and Promoting Revitalization" was held. At the seminar, the participating experts and scholars exchanged views on the research and practice of promoting the spirit of the Winter Olympic Games, ice and snow culture and art, ice and snow sports, ice and snow culture industry, and ice and snow characteristic economy, and put forward constructive suggestions and countermeasures.

Li Hongyin, chairman of the Shenyang Federation of Social Sciences, said that Shenyang has distinct regional characteristics, social foundation and urban customs such as ice and snow tourism, ice and snow culture, ice and snow sports, etc. It is an important responsibility and mission of the Federation of Social Sciences and social science workers to carry forward the connotation and spirit of ice and snow culture and promote Shenyang to make new breakthroughs in revitalization through the creation and exhibition of calligraphy and painting works.
