On January 25, 2022, the "Song Yun Liufang - Jin Guorong Southern Song Dynasty Official Kiln Works Exhibition" opened in the Gushan Pavilion Area of Zhejiang Provincial Museum. The exhibition will be on display until March 6, 2022, and the audience is welcome to enter the Gushan Pavilion District Boutique Museum and feel the natural beauty of the Southern Song Dynasty official kiln.
The Southern Song Dynasty official kiln is one of the five famous kilns in ancient mainland China. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Lin'an (present-day Hangzhou), the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, successively set up the Xiu NeiSi and the suburban altar kiln, which were specially designed for the court to burn royal porcelain. The Southern Song Dynasty Ye Xiao (zhì) "Tanzhai Biheng" records, "Raiding the legacy of the ancient Capital, placing the kiln in Xiu Neisi, making green utensils, and naming the inner kiln." Pure clay is exemplary, extremely delicate, oil-colored and clear, and cherished by the world. "The Southern Song Dynasty official kiln represents the highest level of the Song Dynasty porcelain industry, winning with a dignified and regular shape and a symmetrical glaze color. Cheng mud is a model, purple mouth iron foot, thin tire thick glaze, glaze color is lustrous, treasure light connotation, warm as jade, for future generations to cherish.

As a representative inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage hangzhou Southern Song Dynasty official kiln porcelain firing technique and a master of arts and crafts in Zhejiang Province, Jin Guorong has been engaged in the research and production of southern Song Dynasty official kiln celadon for nearly 40 years. He has in-depth research and practice on the glaze color, opening piece, shape, etc. of the Southern Song Dynasty official kiln, and rigorously maintains and inherits the characteristics of the Southern Song Dynasty official kiln.
This exhibition exhibits the official kiln works independently designed, produced and completed by Mr. Jin Guorong over the years, such as "Jade Linglong", "Rising Tide" and "Rhythm". Among them, the "Jade Linglong" series of works was inspired by Liangzhu Yuqun. The overall shape of the vessel is generous, and the lines are simple and thick. The top is shaped like a jade bi, round and transitioning, and the glaze color is more crystal moist. The body is surrounded by hollow geometric patterns, which show the beauty of exquisite clarity and purple iron feet. The series of works also uses the double-layer blank drawing method unprecedented in the history of the Southern Song Dynasty official kilns, which shows the difficulty of its skills and is amazing.
