The exhibition mainly exhibits the artistic masterpieces of Mr. Jin Guorong, the representative inheritor of the porcelain firing technique of the Southern Song Dynasty official kiln of the Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hangzhou in the past 40 years.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held on the morning of the 25th, attended by many well-known experts, scholars and masters of arts and crafts in Zhejiang, Chen Shuihua, director of the Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Gao Eryi, former deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, and Jin Guorong, a master of arts and crafts in Zhejiang Province, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Chen Shuihua introduced the basic situation of the exhibition and praised Jin Guorong for "always maintaining a heart of piety and reverence for traditional skills, perfectly presenting the beautiful and natural charm of the Southern Song Dynasty official kilns, making the connotation of Song Yun culture richer and more fragrant." Gao Eryi introduced the inheritance of the Southern Song Dynasty official kilns in modern times. He pointed out that Jin Guorong was the leader in the inheritance system of the Southern Song Dynasty official kilns, and his works were pure and stable, respecting the ancient and not muddying the ancient. "Jin Guorong not only has a solid inheritance foundation and hand kung fu, but also has innovative wisdom, and constantly practices and creates classics with personal style, which is rare in the arts and crafts industry." Subsequently, Jin Guorong himself delivered a speech, and Liu Zheng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Academy of Art, announced the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition exhibits Jin Guorong's representative works "Jade Linglong" series, "Ice Crack" series, "Surge Tide", "Rhythm", etc., of which "Instruments and Flowers - Dedicated to the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games" series is his recent works specially created for the Asian Games. Kim Kwok Wing selects representative flowers from various countries, including Chinese peonies, Japanese cherry blossoms, Malaysia's Fuso, etc., according to different flower types. He said: "It is necessary to combine the Song Yun culture of Hangzhou with the Asian Games. "The Surge tide" located in the center of the exhibition hall is his painstaking work, and Jin Guorong spent more than half a year and failed more than a dozen times to complete. The middle of the work is particularly complex, improper operation is easy to crack, only softness, hardness, time, humidity are properly controlled, in order to present the current effect. In addition, there is the "Ice Crack" series of works, which cleverly use the natural cracking of the surface of the utensils, and the ornamentation is natural, such as Wenwu open pieces, plum blossom pieces, ink patterns, etc., layered and clearly visible. Jin Guorong's works not only embody the characteristics of the Southern Song Dynasty official kiln purple mouth iron foot, ice crack pieces, thin tire thick glaze, glaze color pink and blue, but also innovate in techniques and instruments, integrate their own thinking, and enter the ancient and the new. His works are simple and elegant, the color and light are restrained, thick and clear, pure and calm, the opening is natural, full of changes, and it is loved.
