Nowadays, the price of cars is getting lower and lower, and the configuration is getting richer and more abundant, and buying a car is no pressure for many families today.
But there is such a phenomenon: the price of the car is cheaper, but more and more people are not willing to buy a car? It's not that they don't have any money on their hands, it's that everyone is becoming more and more shrewd. Nowadays, people's desire to buy a car has decreased sharply, mainly for the following reasons:
First, public transportation is developed, and travel is more convenient
By the end of 2021, the national railway operating mileage exceeded 150,000 kilometers, of which the number of high-speed rail miles exceeded 40,000 kilometers, China now has the world's largest high-speed rail network, and now high-speed rail has become the preferred way of travel for many people, not only faster than driving themselves, but also more convenient and comfortable. Secondly, in the past, people traveled in addition to taking the bus to drive themselves, and there were fewer choices, but now the big cities have both subways and urban rails, and for most people now, short-distance work buses, subways, and even some companies are equipped with shuttle buses.
In addition, the shared bicycles everywhere also solve the travel problems of many people, neither worry about traffic jams, but also low carbon and environmental protection is also quite convenient for ten minutes of travel. At the same time, the popularity of online car-hailing has also become a reason for many young people not to buy a car, whether it is traveling or going to other places, online car-hailing is on call, which is more convenient than driving by themselves.
Second, the traffic jam is serious
On January 17, Baidu Maps compiled a list of China's most congested cities in 2021, ranking 100 cities across the country according to their car ownership levels based on data such as traffic travel, vehicle trajectory, and location positioning. Among them, the top ten most congested cities are: Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi'an, Qingdao, Jinan, Hangzhou, and Chengdu. At present, the number of cars in the mainland has exceeded 400 million, although this number is not worth mentioning in front of the huge population of the mainland, but if the average is calculated to each family, a family has 1.89 cars, so it seems that the number is very large.
For modern people, driving for an hour, you can gamble for half an hour on the road, and traffic jams are the most troublesome thing. It is precisely because everyone can afford to buy a car now, so driving in the urban area can encounter road congestion most of the time, especially in the morning and evening rush hours, every New Year's Festival, a block will start in half an hour, even if many cities implement a single and double number restriction policy to alleviate, it is the same result, so many young people prefer to take public transportation.
Buying a car is cool for a while, and raising a car has two lines of tears

Now the price of the car is much cheaper than before, and there are many choices for cars within 100,000, but buying a car is not a one-time consumption, and the car insurance, maintenance, gasoline costs, etc. after buying a car are not a small amount, especially the oil price as a whole, showing an upward trend. Therefore, it is easy for young people to buy a car, but there is still a certain pressure to raise a car in the later stage, and it is at least a thousand to raise a car and share it equally every month. Although there are new energy vehicles now, the cost of follow-up charging is still not small, in addition, the new energy vehicle Tesla in recent years brake failure, fire incidents have also affected the car purchase plans of some consumers.
In addition to this problem, more people value the parking problem most. In the past, the price of cars was high, there were few cars on the road, and parking spaces could be found everywhere, and it was still free, but now it is not OK, there are cars everywhere, there is no parking space where to go, where the car is bought and parked is a problem that many car buyers consider. Although many communities now provide parking spaces, there are still not enough parking spaces.
For example, there are generally 500 residents in the community now, and the parking spaces in the entire community are only about 300, which is still a saleable private parking space, then there are 40% of car owners who have no place to park, and "grabbing parking spaces" is staged in reality. In addition, for some communities without free parking spaces, owners either choose to rent a car or choose to buy a parking space, such as buying a 100,000-level car, which may require about 200,000 parking spaces alone, and the cost of owning a car is quite high.
A netizen once bought a 110-square-meter house in the county, complete facilities, obvious location advantages, originally this netizen did not have the intention of buying a parking space, and later spent 120,000 yuan to buy a parking space under the advice of his family. The family believes that parking spaces should be bought sooner or later, and it is easy to buy early, even if they are not used after buying, they can be rented. However, after handing over the house, the netizen was dumbfounded, he found that the occupancy rate of the community is not high, and one-third of the parking spaces are still vacant. Secondly, he often works in the field after buying a house, and does not often live at home for a long time, that is to say, the parking space he spent money to buy is often in a vacant state, this netizen wants to sell the parking space, but finds that it is easy to buy a parking space and it is difficult to sell a parking space.
Fourth, the burden on young people is greater
Nowadays, the post-90s can be said to be "entrusted with heavy responsibilities", and the post-90s who have reached the marriageable age have become the main force in buying cars, buying houses and giving birth. In modern society, under the fierce competition and crazy involution, the burden and pressure of young people are also heavier, especially in the era of high housing prices, most young people are loans to buy houses. After paying off the mortgage, a large part of the monthly salary is not much at the disposal, let alone buying and maintaining a car.
Now many people are accustomed to advanced consumption, in order to pursue and enjoy a higher quality of life, often more enthusiastic about "first consumption". The first thing after paying the salary is to pay back the credit card, spend, borrow, etc., I do not have a lot of savings, there is no extra money to buy a car, even if I buy a car, it is also a bunch of debts, the later living standards will decline, and the pressure will increase.
Cars have changed from rare items to items that ordinary people can have, but people's willingness to buy cars has not increased, but has declined, precisely because people's ideological concepts have changed. In the past, cars were a status symbol, but now, with the exception of some luxury car brands, for most people, cars are just a convenient means of transportation. Nowadays, although people's purchasing power has generally increased, shopping has become more rational, not blindly pursuing cars, but more considering their own conditions and actual needs.
