"The daily news of victory and defeat in this city is closely tied to the breath of countless millions and millions of people, making them sad and making them happy. This war was not only a turning point in the Soviet-German war, but even a turning point in the world anti-fascist war, but also a turning point in the entire history of mankind. On October 12, 1942, shortly after the outbreak of the Stalingrad Defense War, Mao Zedong wrote this in an editorial for the Yan'an Liberation Daily. With the development of the war, the Stalingrad Defense War became one of the most tragic battles in the history of World War II and even human warfare, a major turning point in the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War, and also an important turning point in the Second World War. Through highly infectious historical pictures and war propaganda posters, the exhibition focuses on the most touching stories of the battle, such as the soldiers of the Red Army who swore to defend the "Pavlov Building" to the death, the heroic deeds of the hero Banikaha, etc., so that the audience can deeply feel the heroism and fearless spirit of the Soviet Red Army in resisting German fascism. In addition, the exhibition also shows a precious documentary made by the Soviet Union in 1943 reflecting the defense of Stalingrad, which was narrated by the famous Soviet announcer Yuri Levitan, and the audience can listen to the voices known as the "Voice of the Soviet Union" in World War II, watch precious historical images, and immerse themselves in the great battle that took place on the Volga River.

The Chinese Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall and the Stalingrad Defense War Memorial belong to the famous World War II museums in China and Russia, the former is the main initiating unit and secretariat of the International Association of World War II Museums, and the latter is an important member unit of the Association. This joint exhibition is not only a friendly exchange and cooperation between the two museums, but also a vivid practice of the two sides to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries through the platform of the International World War II Museum Association, which is of positive significance for deepening the traditional friendship between China and Russia and promoting the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries, especially the development of peace education.

The exhibition will last for two months and will be open to visitors from September 3, 2021 until November 3, 2021.
