Elrod tells you: Still waiting for life's critical hit? Give you a life-saving plan

In 1999, at the age of 20, he was preparing to enter the university, but he almost died in a car accident and was in a coma for six days and six nights. After a long period of treatment and cultivation, his life slowly got on the right track.

In 2008, when the U.S. financial crisis swept the world, he fell into a trough again, heavily indebted, and did not even have the money to pay rent. Even after reading a lot of inspirational books and attending a lot of training courses, I still can't do it.

Elrod tells you: Still waiting for life's critical hit? Give you a life-saving plan

Until one day, a good friend invited him to get up early for exercise. But he hated running, but now that there was no way out, he reluctantly accepted his friend's advice and began to run in the morning. Who knows, the morning run has actually become a turning point in his life, his career is booming, and his mental outlook is completely different from before.

He was Elrod, from the trough of his life to the peak, becoming a best-selling author and speaker, an ultra-marathon runner. "The Miracle of Early Rise" is exactly the little witness of his brilliant life through early rise.

The book is also a pillow book by Robert Kiyosaki, author of Poor Daddy Rich Daddy. Let me share a few bullet points from this book.

One. Start the first step in your dream life

Many people have dreams, but when the dream is shattered by reality, it is difficult to stick to the dream, so that it is useless to live a lifetime, but unwilling.

Elrod despises running for the benefits of running, but he hates life even more. Now that it can't get any worse, let's start running.

So, what are the benefits of getting up early to run:

  1. Think clearly
  2. Weight loss
  3. The pressure is reduced
  4. Full of gratitude
  5. Enhance your earning power
  6. Aim more intently

Some people may say that I have been up early for a while, but what has changed in my life. Then ask yourself: What do you do when you get up early? Is it idleness, or is it a swipe of the phone?

Elrod's list of early risers goes like this:

1. Meditation: Sit quietly with your attention focused on the breath for 10 minutes. You will feel more relaxed and calm than ever before.

2. Reading: No more complaining about not having time to read, this is the best time. No one bothers, and reading a touched sentence can change the trajectory of your life.

3. Self-motivation: Draw your vision on a blank piece of paper. What do you want? What kind of person do you want to be? What kind of life do you want to live? What are you going to do to change that? After writing it, you will find that you are full of strength.

4. Write essays: Write out all the pain and joy, and the dark clouds in your heart will dissipate and be full of gratitude

5. Morning exercise: running, yoga, abs training can be.

After a while, you are no longer satisfied with the moment and will set the alarm clock ahead. Because it is no longer the alarm clock that wakes you up, but the goal of life.

However, after a few days of running in the morning, you slack off, dragging when it's time to go out and not wanting to move. Everyone has that mentality, but if you knew there was someone waiting for you on the runway, would you be motivated? So, find yourself a highly responsible companion and support and encourage each other.

Two. From I can't get to me to try it

Before many things have begun, the instinct will resist. "I can't get up early, I hate running the most, I can't do it." There is such a mentality because of the fear of seeing the consequences that you cannot bear, so as to break your own narcissism.

You can do it another way. "I don't like it and can't do it, but I can try." Since the author graduated from school, he has not run again, unless someone chases after him.

When he decided to try running, he just said "think about it" . But running is like everything else in the world, others can do it, you can do it. Slowly, he went from trying to becoming a marathon enthusiast. This process is not transformed in a few days, but after 30 days of guidance.

Three. Be the master of the habit

There are always a lot of people who make plans on a regular basis, and probably less than 5% of them stick to the end. This is because people are often addicted to old habits and lack strategies for developing new ones. According to the author's method, we can solidify the new habit in 3 stages.

1. Days 1-10, intolerable period

In the first few days of the new habit, you may be excited, but after the freshness passes, you will feel pain and the body will instinctively resist. Just get up early and say, "Oh my God, it's dawn so soon, I haven't woken up yet, let's sleep for another 10 minutes." In fact, this unbearable situation is temporary, don't think that the new habit will make you miserable forever.

Therefore, those who lose weight and quit smoking are all giving up at the beginning. All you have to do is tell yourself that this is only temporary, that in 10 days it will be fine and will give you the ability to create a new life.

2. Days 11-22: Uncomfortable

The most difficult period is over, this stage is much easier, you start to gradually adapt, but also have confidence, full of expectations for new habits.

But this stage still requires you to be self-disciplined, get through the difficulties, and the future will be very smooth.

3. Day 21-33 Iron strike phase while hot

Many people believe that it only takes 21 days to develop a new habit, in fact, it takes 30 days to fix a new habit. In the last 10 days, your mind changes from "not used to getting up early" to "I'm an early riser." You don't fear the alarm clock anymore, it's like a clarion call that takes you into the battle, and you begin to appreciate the benefits of getting up early.

This stage is the stage of qualitative change. If you choose to pause, you will lose all your efforts, and playing iron while it is hot will help you consolidate this habit.

What do you think? Ever wanted to give it a try? If you're excited, check out this book.
