"The book 'Voices of Blood and Fire' is not a literary creation, it comes from the battlefield of the Laoshan region where the gunfire was filled with gunfire 36 years ago, and the authors of more than 200,000 words of letters, diaries and poems are our heroes who can sing and cry, and although some of them have left us, their heroic souls have survived forever." This morning, the book donation ceremony of "Voices of Blood and Fire" was held at the Zhejiang Library. Gu Shoucheng and Peng Shaokang, two "veterans" who participated in the Battle of Laoshan 36 years ago and who are also the finishers of the book, introduce readers to how the book was born from the smoke-filled war.
"As a retired veteran of more than 40 years from Rong, I had the privilege of participating in the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam from July 1984 to July 1985, witnessing the heroic feats of the front line fighting in blood, fighting bravely and killing the enemy, and seeing death as a homecoming, and personally experiencing the complexity, arduousness and hardship of the life of the position. Although the hero is no longer there, we who are alive must not forget the martyrs. Therefore, we collected and sorted out some of the letters, diaries, poems, and spring leagues of the front-line soldiers. Peng Shaokang introduced that "The Voice of Blood and Fire" contains 81 letters, 35 diaries, 60 poems and 19 Spring Festival couplets, including a letter of determination to the party and the people, a letter of absolute writing to parents, wives and children, a letter of encouragement to the youth of society, and a declaration to show the sword to the enemy.
"Dear father, mother, brother, sister-in-law: Hello, after you received this letter, I have gone to the battlefield full of gunfire and fought in blood, and died on the battlefield. This letter is the last letter left to you, as my last words! After you receive it, don't be sad and uncomfortable..." This is the suicide note of martyr Wu Changqing on November 13, 1984. Just two months later, he was killed in a battle on 16 January 1985. Martyr Li Minghua's letter to his mother said: "The motherland is your relatives, loving the motherland is the most valuable character of a soldier, young people with lofty ideals should have the spirit of dedication to the motherland. If I die in battle, please don't be sad. You should not cause trouble for the organization and comrades. Although I can't send you to the end of your pension, there are all parties in the government to take care of you. I have a little request, I hope you will do it, the country is not rich at present, you should be considerate of the country's difficulties..."
The poem "On the Battlefield, a Flowing Wish" written by the warrior "Ichizumi" was left to his wife. "If my body can no longer shed a drop of blood, I will leave you with a smile, that is the beauty of the morning sun, if my brain finally stops thinking about the last thought, I will leave you with love, it is the lushness of the green mountains..." Veteran" General Gu Shoucheng said with tears in his eyes, each article tells a vivid life and a happy family, every sentence has been burned by the smoke of war, and every word is soaked with the blood of the frontline soldiers and the tears of their relatives, which is not only touching and tear-inducing, but also inspiring morale and encouraging progress, which is precious.
"The Voice of Blood and Fire uses letters, diaries and poems to show the brave loyalty of the soldiers of the Vietnamese self-defense counterattack war who "fought for the motherland and died for the motherland". This is a huge spiritual wealth, embodies the lofty revolutionary spirit and communist ideals and beliefs, and makes every reader deeply rooted in the feelings of loving the party and the country. Chu Shuqing, director of Zhejiang Library, said that the accumulation of red literature in the library collection has accumulated into the red gene bank of the party and the country, and we have the responsibility to make good use of red resources, and the 110 copies of "Voices of Blood and Fire" donated today, Zhejiang Library will distribute to various grass-roots libraries according to the number of public libraries in various regions of Zhejiang Province, so that more readers can receive this rare patriotic education and inherit our precious red genes.
