The founding general Chen Geng is no stranger to everyone, is one of the earliest leading figures of the Communist Party of China, he spent his life in the southern conquest of the northern war, made outstanding military achievements, and his reputation resounded all over the world. He also had two wives, and Fu Ya, as we call it today, was his second wife.
In 1927, Chen Geng traveled to Hankou for the Fifth National Congress, where he met Wang Genying, his first wife. Four years ago in Shanghai, when Chen Geng was a teacher at the Workers' Night University, the two of them met, and Wang Genying was one of his outstanding students at that time.
Chen Geng was very fond of her and met again four years later, and now she is a representative of the Shanghai workers. She came out more beautiful and generous, which made Chen Geng more excited.
He is not an old-fashioned person, but very humorous and funny, during the conference, he passed a note to Wang Genying to show love. The content on the note, bold and direct, made Wang Genying, who was generous at that time, blush.
Her next move was very unexpected, she actually pasted the note that came over directly on the wall, wanting Chen Geng to follow suit. Chen Geng did not think that this was a shameful thing, and handed over another note, at first she looked at it, and found that it was all the content of showing love, and then simply did not look at it, and directly pasted it on the wall.
After the meeting, the walls were plastered with notes, and curious people gathered around to watch, all looking at the "love letters" pasted on the walls. For the sake of the revolutionary cause, they did not stay together for long after marriage, and they went their separate ways into work. During the Nanchang uprising, Chen Geng was injured, he was arranged to recuperate in Shanghai, after the injury, he stayed in Shanghai to work, spent several years of happiness with his wife, during which Time Wang Genying also gave birth to a child for him.
Later, Chen Geng was sent to work in the Soviet district, and from then on, he and his wife gathered less and left more. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Wang Genying served as an instructor for the cadre school of the Eighth Route Army, and in 1939, during a Japanese sweep, her school was bombed by the Japanese army, and she was hit by shells and unfortunately died.
After Chen Geng heard the news, he fell seriously ill, and the whole person lost a circle. Although they have been married for 12 years, they have gathered less and more, but their love is stronger than Jinjian, and he once wrote in his diary that the death of his wife is the saddest thing in his life.
A year later, Chen Geng was injured in Yan'an to recuperate, at this time, under the deliberate arrangement of his colleagues, he met his second wife Fu Ya.
Fu Ya, formerly known as Fu Huiying, was born in 1918, because of his superior family, he was exposed to higher ideological education from an early age. After the outbreak of the war of aggression against China, under the influence of her brother, she went to Yan'an to join the revolution and officially joined the Communist Party of China in March 1939. In order not to cause trouble to his family, he changed his name to Fu Ya.
Under the deliberate arrangement of her colleagues, she met Chen Geng before she had heard of Chen Geng's name and regarded him as an idol. When they first met, they had a good chat, but Chen Geng didn't meet a person who loved one, he just treated Fu Ya as his own comrade.
Later, the two often met, they shared the same revolutionary belief and spiritual pursuit, often talked together about some ways to save the country and save the people, Chen Geng would also talk about some war, after listening to fu Ya admired him even more.
With two people with a common topic, the relationship is getting better and better, Chen Geng soon came out of the shadow of the sacrifice of his deceased wife, colleagues saw them so close, often intentionally or unintentionally matched the two of them, slowly, Chen Geng also had a good feeling for her.
He is a person who dares to love and dare to hate, and since he likes it, he should chase it. However, after Chen Geng confessed, she was rejected, because before she joined the revolution, her parents had arranged a marriage for her, the other party was his cousin, who was working in the Kuomintang government at the moment.
In that era, if there was a marriage contract in the body, it was immoral to talk to others about love, and I could not pass the hurdle in my heart.
Chen Geng, who knew the reason, did not dwell too much on it, but only kindly reminded her of the political implications. At this time, in fact, her heart was already shaken, and she only wanted her cousin to come to her side quickly. So he sent a letter to his cousin, hoping that he would come to Yan'an as soon as possible to work with her.
Unexpectedly, when he received the reply, his cousin was unwilling to give up the generous treatment at that time, and persuaded her to recognize the situation and that there was no future in following the Communist Party. She was sad to receive such a reply. Later, she figured out that since the two people have different ideals and different concepts, they will not be happy together in the future, so they directly dissolved the marriage contract.
Later, Chen Geng learned of this matter and pursued her again, this time she did not refuse again. In February 1943, Chen Geng submitted an application for marriage to the organization, but what she did not expect was rejected by the organization because of Fu Ya's complicated family background and suspicion of hostile spies.
She was born into a capitalist class family with 10 children, half of whom served in the Kuomintang ranks, and it was normal for the organization to be suspicious of her. Later, Deng Xiaoping personally intervened to solve this problem for him.
On February 25, 1943, the two of them completed the wedding ceremony in the headquarters courtyard vacated for them by Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping. After the marriage, the revolutionary feelings of the two were very harmonious and happy, and Fu Ya gave birth to three men and one daughter for Chen Geng successively.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Chen Geng took back the child with Wang Genying. After the child's mother died, because his father had no news, he could only live with his uncle. He was later found by underground organizations in Shanghai and taken to Chen Geng in 1946 to live with his stepmother's family.
In the education of his children, Fu Ya also had a lot of experience, his three sons became generals of the People's Liberation Army, and his only daughter became a professor at the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army.
After the founding of New China, in 1955, Chen Geng was awarded the title of the fourth founding general. Due to his high position, heavy military affairs, and day and night work, Chen Geng suddenly suffered a myocardial infarction in 1961 and died unfortunately in Shanghai Hospital, only 58 years old, the first founding general in New China to die.
In the decades after Chen Geng's death, in addition to Fu Ya's thoughts about him, there was another matter of concern that had always hung in his heart, that is, his family. Since the liberation of the country, I have not heard from my family.
It wasn't until 1980 that she received a letter from the United States from her sister, in which she learned that her parents and family had since been living in Taiwan. When his parents died, his only wish was to bury his ashes on the mainland. In 1986, through many efforts, Fu Ya finally transported the ashes of his parents back to his hometown for burial.
In 1992, 31 years after Chen Geng's death, when cross-strait relations were gradually improving and at the same time encouraging residents on both sides of the strait to visit relatives, Fu Ya finally couldn't resist, and at the age of 74, she ignored the persuasion of her family and took a plane to Taiwan.
Her older siblings in Taiwan, when they got the news, let their children go to the airport and wait for their aunts, whom they had never met. So there was a row of luxury cars, which appeared at the airport.
After Fu Ya got off the plane, she was also very happy to see that she had so many more children and nephews at once. In the years that followed, she kept moving between the two places, one to reunite with her family, and the other to work hard for cross-strait reunification.
In 2011, Fu Ya died at the age of 92.
General Chen Geng, who has shed blood for the country all his life, is a true man with feelings and righteous deeds, and will always live in our hearts! His two wives, on the other hand, dedicated their lives to the country, will be remembered by the people.
Fu Ya was separated from his family for decades for the great cause of the revolution, and it was a happy thing that he could reunite with his family in his old age.
