Painter Profile
Liang Zongwen, a native of Longxi, Gansu, a member of the China Artists Association, a national second-level artist, a member of the Lu Wei Non-Flower and Bird Painting Research Association, a painter of Chen Yuming's Ink Home Studio, a painter employed by the Chinese Painting Academy of the Gansu Academy of Painting, a director of the Gansu Chinese Painting Society, a vice chairman of the Dingxi Artists Association, a young literary and art worker of "Virtue and Art Shuangxin" in Dingxi City, and a full-time painter of the Longxi Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
Liang Zongwen, who has been working in the grass-roots front-line professional painting institute for more than 20 years, knows that art originates from the principle that life is higher than life, and has been deeply involved in life for a long time, based on tradition, tempering pen and ink, paying attention to drawing inspiration from creation in sketching, practicing the spirit of "writing" in freehand painting, taking the mountains and rivers and flowers and birds in nature as the theme, writing their charm and integrity, and using the free use of water, ink, pen and paper, the main elements of Chinese painting, so that water, ink and color blend and collide with each other, and the picture presents a brilliant and colorful, complex and magnificent, thick and vast meaning of beauty.
Liang Zongwen's flower and bird paintings have won many awards in the professional national calligraphy and painting exhibition in the 1990s. In recent years, his landscape paintings with the theme of Longshan and Longshui have also achieved gratifying results. Not long ago, adhering to the academic concept of "art has no boundaries, you are in exchange", Liang Zongwen exhibited more than 60 newly created landscape paintings. These works are the result of his observation of nature and life and the practice of pen and ink. The works have new experiences and attempts from the aspects of the composition of the picture, color, and the use of pen and ink. From an academic point of view, he asked himself to change his painting style and not to fall into the clichés. In fact, this is also his thinking and practice on the current situation of traditional and modern landscape painting.
