On July 27 last year, Geely Automobile and its subsidiary Jirun entered into a joint venture agreement with Sunwoda Group to establish a joint venture company to develop, produce and sell hybrid (HEV) battery cells, battery modules and battery packs, which can be widely used in geely's various models.

It is understood that the registered capital of the joint venture company is 100 million yuan, which will be invested by Jirun Automobile, Sunwoda and Geely Automobile Group by 41.50%, 30% and 28.50% respectively.

At the business level, judging from the announcement, the joint venture company will mainly be engaged in the development, production and sales and after-sales service of lithium-ion batteries, lithium polymer batteries, power batteries, energy storage batteries, battery management systems and rechargeable battery packs, as well as technical services, testing services and consulting services for lithium batteries and related products.
