Tramway news: On January 19, the groundbreaking ceremony of Shandong Geely Sunwoda Power Battery Project and the project acceleration oath meeting were held in Zaozhuang High-tech Zone Geely Sunwoda Project Construction Base.
It is reported that in July last year, the Shandong Geely Sunwoda power battery project jointly invested by Sunwoda Group, Geely Group and Zhejiang Jirun was officially established. The joint venture is funded by Jirun Automobile, Sunwoda and Geely Automobile Group in the form of currency, and the amount of the three parties intended to subscribe for is 41.5 million yuan, 30 million yuan and 28.5 million yuan respectively, and the shareholding ratio is 41.50%, 30% and 28.50% respectively.
The joint venture will be mainly engaged in the development, production and sales and after-sales service of lithium-ion batteries, lithium polymer batteries, power batteries, energy storage batteries, battery management systems and rechargeable battery packs; and technical services, testing services and consulting services for lithium batteries and related products.
Its products are mainly used for Geely to create a new second-generation HEV hybrid system with all independent intellectual property rights, which can be widely used in geely's many models, with low fuel consumption, low emissions, high performance and other characteristics.
It is worth noting that in December last year, Sunwoda's subsidiary, Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery Co., Ltd., also signed a "Project Investment Agreement" with the Zaozhuang High-tech Zone Management Committee.
It is understood that the total investment of this project is about 20 billion yuan, of which the fixed asset investment is about 15 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of annual production capacity of 30GWh power batteries, energy storage battery production lines and related supporting facilities; the project covers an area of about 451 acres, and the annual output value is expected to reach about 20 billion yuan after production, driving more than 2,000 people.
In view of the official laying of the foundation stone of the Shandong Geely Xinwanda power battery project, An Pengfei, deputy general manager of Geely Group Weirui Electric Vehicle, said that the Geely Xinwanda power battery project will help give full play to the technical research and development advantages of Sunwoda in HEV batteries and Geely's resource advantages, which is of great strategic significance for both sides to expand the market and long-term development.
For the pace of the project, Ye Zhilin, assistant to the president of Sunwoda Group, revealed that the project plans to start delivering the civil engineering of the plant in June this year, and the equipment will be installed and debugged in September this year, which is expected to achieve product off-line at the end of this year.
