So he sent someone to test him, and Cao Shuang sent one of his confidants, Li Sheng, to test Sima Yi. Li Shengjin went to Sima Yi's house and said, "I want to see Taifu." Sima Yi's family said to Li Sheng: Taifu is about to die, and he is about to hang up. Now I'm lying in the ICU! If you must go and see it, go check it out! After Li Sheng entered the ICU, he saw Sima Yi lying on his sickbed, and someone was feeding Porridge to Sima Yi. This porridge is fed and flows down the corner of the mouth, and it is much less likely to come out, and it is full of horns. Li Sheng looked at it, this Sima Yi was really about to hang up, and he saw that time was running out! Then Li Sheng went back to cao shuang, and Cao Shuang was relieved when he heard it.
After that, Cao Shuang made the most wrong move in his life: he took the young lord Cao Fang to Gaoping Tomb to worship his ancestors.
Taking advantage of the opportunity for Cao Shuang to go out to sacrifice, Sima Yi "lifted up the quilt" and launched a coup d'état in Luoyang, releasing the imprisoned empress dowager and deposing the general Cao Shuang in the name of empress dowager. At the same time, he sent the chancellor Jiang Ji to trick Cao Shuang into handing over power.
Cao Shuang was with the emperor at Gaoping Tomb at this time, and could have "blackmailed the Son of Heaven to order the princes", you took the emperor with you, what are you afraid of? But he was really afraid, so he really agreed, and innocently asked: Can Taifu really keep me alive and protect my family's wealth? Jiang Ji, who had come to persuade him, of course agreed with his mouth, saying: Taifu said, the requirements you said can be met. So Cao Shuang really handed over the power. This strategist was so angry that he scolded, saying: Cao Zhen Cao Zidan, such a talented person, gave birth to such a crippled calf as you. A dynasty of heaven and a courtier, this group of conspirators who are attached to Cao Shuang really hate iron and steel, after all, Cao Shuang has fallen, and these counselors have no good fruit to eat.
Soon after, Sima Yi accused the three tribes of Cao Shuang for plotting treason, and from then on, the military and political power of Cao Wei fell into the hands of the Sima family. After the coup d'état at Gaopingling, the government returned to Sima Shi.
Upon Sima Yi's death, the eldest son Sima Shi forced the empress dowager to abolish Cao Fang and establish Cao Fang as the Duke of Guixiang. In fact, it is also true that the two Jin dynasties add up to only more than 150 years, so it is said that this is the sins of the ancestors and should be repaid to the descendants.
