According to HKEX filings, Cao Cao Travel Co., Ltd. has submitted a listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and the contact sponsors are Huatai International, ABC International and GF Securities.
Cao Cao was incubated in 2015 by Geely Holding Group and is headquartered in Suzhou. According to foreign media citing two people familiar with the matter, Tesla has reached a partnership with Chinese tech giant Baidu, which will allow Tesla to obtain its map license to collect data on China's public roads.
It is reported that as part of the agreement between the two parties, Baidu will also provide Tesla with its lane-level navigation system. The deal clears the final regulatory hurdle for the launch of Tesla's driver assistance system, which Tesla calls Full Self-Driving Suite FSD, in China, the sources said.
In China, all intelligent driving systems must be surveyed and mapped to operate on public roads. Foreign companies need to work with domestic companies that have obtained licenses. Baidu is one of more than a dozen companies that have obtained surveying and mapping qualifications.
Tesla will be allowed to legally run its FSD software on Chinese roads if it has a map service license, and its fleet will also be able to collect data about the vehicle's surroundings, such as road layouts, traffic signs, and nearby buildings.
