Entering 2022, SAIC Motor's overseas business continued to blow out. On January 17, SAIC Motor signed an agreement with China Shipbuilding Group to "tailor", two LNG dual-fuel, low-carbon and environmentally friendly ocean-going automobile carriers (ro-ro ships) with 7600 parking spaces for SAIC's Anji Logistics, to meet the growing export business needs of SAIC And other independent and foreign brands, and accelerate the promotion of high-gold content "China Intelligent Manufacturing" to the world. It is reported that SAIC Anji Logistics has built the largest domestic automobile enterprise self-operated fleet.

Build the strongest Lineup of Chinese brands going overseas

According to the statistics of the China Automobile Association, In 2021, Chinese auto companies exported 2.015 million vehicles, an increase of 101.1% year-on-year. Among them, SAIC Motor's overseas sales reached 697,000 units (including 598,000 exports and 99,000 overseas bases produced and sold 99,000 vehicles), winning the top spot in the domestic car list for six consecutive years, reaching the achievement of "every three Chinese cars sold overseas, one is made by SAIC Motor".

At present, SAIC's products and services have landed in more than 70 countries and regions around the world, forming six "50,000 vehicle-class" regional markets in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the Americas, the Middle East, ASEAN and South Asia. As the only automobile enterprise in China with a systematic, planned and structured "going out", SAIC Motor has established an automotive industry chain integrating R&D, marketing, logistics, parts, manufacturing, finance, and second-hand cars for the global market, laying a solid foundation for the rapid development of overseas business.

According to reports, since the 13th Five-Year Plan, SAIC motor has made every effort to tackle key problems in independent research and development, forming innovative technological advantages such as intelligent networking and new energy, and actively spilling out overseas to create differentiated competitiveness. The "i-Smart" intelligent networking system independently developed by SAIC Motor has been used in more than 30 overseas models, with more than 130,000 activated users; in 2021, SAIC New Energy Vehicles will be "sold overseas" by nearly 60,000 units, actively promoting green and low-carbon travel around the world.

Continue to build a strong overseas logistics chain

A strong and efficient global supply chain system is escorting SAIC's overseas production and sales. It is reported that after the further cooperation between SAIC Motor and China Shipbuilding Group, SAIC Anji Logistics has 31 automobile boats of various types, including 12 river ships, 13 domestic trade ships, and 6 foreign trade special ships.

According to the data, SAIC's Anji Logistics is currently the world's first auto parts and vehicle logistics enterprises, with a distribution network covering more than 600 cities in China and more than 100 overseas countries, with an annual shipment volume of up to 10 million vehicles. As an important part of SAIC's global supply chain center, Anji Logistics has built a strong logistics system covering 30 waterway trunk lines, 130 railway trunk lines and 4900 highway trunk lines in China, and has also actively built transportation networks overseas to escort overseas production and marketing.

As early as 2016, Anji Logistics took the lead in opening up the first ro-ro international route independently operated by Chinese car companies - China to Southeast Asia, and has successfully built 6 international routes in Southeast Asia, Mexico, South America and Europe so far, providing cross-ocean logistics support for the Chinese and even global automotive industries.
