CT of the chest suggests pulmonary embolism, further confirming the diagnosis of "amniotic fluid embolism". Obstetric medical care immediately started the amniotic fluid embolism rescue plan: positive pressure oxygen supply; anti-allergic; anti-shock; lifting pulmonary hypertension and other measures, while urgently contacting the department of anesthesiology, critical care medicine, blood transfusion department to form a multidisciplinary rescue team, the vice president of business, the director of the medical department immediately rushed to the scene to guide the rescue, after the multidisciplinary team of hard work, the maternal vital signs are becoming more and more stable, successfully gave birth to a newborn baby, January 18 the mother has been cured and discharged from the hospital.
Amniotic fluid embolism refers to a series of pathophysiological changes such as pulmonary hypertension, hypoxemia, circulatory failure, diffuse intravascular coagulation (DIC) and multi-organ failure caused by amniotic fluid entering the maternal blood circulation during childbirth, with an incidence rate of 1.9-7.7/100,000, which is an extremely serious complication of childbirth, and the mortality rate of full-term delivery can be as high as 70%-80%.
