Microsoft announced the launch of a newly designed Outlook client for Mac in mid-February

IT House January 19 news, back in Ignite 2019, Microsoft announced a new Outlook for Mac experience, which includes a redesigned UI, improved performance and several new features.

Previously, the client has been tested in beta and Preview channels, and today Microsoft announced that the new Outlook for Mac will become the default experience for the Current channel (i.e. regular users).

The main change to the new Outlook for Mac experience is the new toolbar at the top. Microsoft has replaced the ribbon with a new customizable toolbar that helps reduce visual clutter and helps users focus on what matters most.

With the addition of online archives, shared mailboxes, shared calendars, and delegation, Microsoft believes that the new version of the functionality is complete enough to replace the old Outlook client. Users will open the new version of Outlook by default, or they can switch back to the old look themselves.

IT House understands that the new Outlook for Mac will begin rolling out in mid-February (version 16.58) and is expected to be completed in late February.
