Not only did he die well, but he almost lived longer than Li Shimin. What is even more interesting is that decades later, the Feng family produced a great eunuch in the generation of Feng Anzhong's grandson, who left a name for thousands of years.

1. Prominent family

Feng Ang's ancestor Feng Hong was the last emperor of Northern Yan during the Sixteen Kingdoms period. Speaking of this history, it is actually more complicated. He got a ship in Goryeo and sailed across the ocean, and finally returned to the south of the Central Plains, surrendering to the Liu Song regime at that time. This was followed by the Southern and Northern Dynasties period, which experienced four dynasties of Song Qi, Liang, and Chen. Feng Ye's son, Feng Rong, made the History of Luozhou during the Southern Liang Period. This Luozhou is today's Guangzhou area.
Today's Guangzhou area is one of the most developed places in China. However, during the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was the so-called foreign land, which was basically a frontier, and at that time this area was always called the Lingnan region. Since the Feng family began in the Feng Rong area, it has officially taken root in Lingnan.

In the seventh year of Daye, Feng Ang accompanied Yang Guang on his expedition to Liaodong and was promoted to the rank of General of Zuo Wuwei.
Judging from Feng An's promotion history, it is not difficult for us to see that the Feng family has gone through four dynasties and has two very important magic weapons. A local power, for a long time, did not care about the emperor of the central government, but also li Shimin, a heroic emperor. In the end, Li Shimin had to take the initiative to send someone to show his goodwill. Such a Feng family, we can only admire its strength.
In the fifth year of Zhenguan, Feng Ang took the initiative to enter the dynasty, and Li Shimin personally hosted a banquet to receive him, and rewarded him a lot.
Although the Feng family did not compete for hegemony or rebellion, they always relied on their influence in Lingnan to increase the territory of Lingnan directly under their jurisdiction. Later, this Feng Yuanyi was adopted by a eunuch named Gao Yanfu and changed his name to Gao Lishi.

Throughout the Tang Dynasty, the Feng family has always been one of the largest clans in Lingnan. Until the fall of the Tang Dynasty, the Feng family still had strong leadership skills in Lingnan.
