How ruthless was the Yongzheng Emperor in dealing with his enemies? A diary of the Qing Dynasty, revealing its cruel side

We read all the lead to present a different history.

Yin Yu was the eighth son of Kangxi, and Yin Yu was the ninth son of Kangxi, both of whom were Yongzheng's brothers. Yongzheng deposed him, stripped him of his origin, and changed his name, one known as Akina and the other as Seth Black. These two names are called pigs and dogs in Manchurian. And to his brother, there are many scruples, and the situation of Yongzheng's mutilation of flesh and bones is heard by those who hear it.

The above records are from the "History of the Manchu Qing Dynasty", and are also representative of many records of the Yongzheng Emperor's "brother-in-law slaughtering brothers" and the representative of anecdotal rumors.

The ninth son of the Kangxi Emperor Yin Yu, the second son of The Kangxi Emperor's favorite concubine and the "deepest of the holy family", Guo Luoluoshi, was a staunch member of the "Eight Masters Party" during the "Nine Sons and Nine Sons", and was also the financial support of the "Eight Masters Party", who successively supported the Eighth Son of the Emperor Yin Yu and the fourteenth son of the Emperor Yin Yu to seize the throne. After the Yongzheng Emperor ascended the throne, the ninth son of the Emperor, Yin Yu, ushered in the most tragic period of his life - to reform the yellow belt, cut the book, imprison and change his name to "Seth Black".

In August of the fourth year of Yongzheng, the Yongzheng Emperor received a recital from Li Fu, the governor of Yongzheng at the time, "Yi Seth Died of Illness on August 24". To this end, the Yongzheng Emperor summoned the princes and ministers to convene an emergency meeting, at which the Yongzheng Emperor explained the following things:

1. The crimes of the Ninth Son of the Emperor Yin Yu are enumerated:

Ill-intentioned and chaotic mainlanders. Great treachery, great evil, disloyalty and filial piety, and great sin of betraying the Lord against heaven. (Absolutely worthy of the sin of lingchi execution)

2. Explain the reasons for the captivity of the Ninth Son of the Emperor Yin Yu:

Yin Yu was so guilty that the Yongzheng Emperor "was still late in returning, and he could not bear it" and was helpless to "have no remorse and caution, and talked and laughed as usual", so he had to order that he be "temporarily banned from Baoding to see what he did".

3. Explanation of the reasons for the "death" of the ninth son of the Emperor Yin Yu:

When Yin Yu was imprisoned in Baoding, Yin Yu "suddenly suffered from diarrhea", and the Yongzheng Emperor En Hao "ordered Li Fu to choose a famous doctor for treatment". Helplessly, Yin Yu's sin was so deep that he "received the sin of his ancestors and could not escape the condemnation of heaven" and died.

Even, in order to show that he deplored the "sudden death" of the ninth son of the Emperor Yin Yu, the Yongzheng Emperor also issued a special decree, emphasizing the idea of releasing the eighth son of the Emperor Yin Yu, and soliciting the opinions of the vast number of courtiers:

Now Seth Black has been cursed. Yesterday I heard the news. I was overwhelmed. Now I want to take Akina from KuanquYu. Kings and ministers, etc., to why.

Yin Yu was already dead, and Yin Yu was very sad; when he thought that the eighth son of the Emperor, Yin Yu, was still in captivity, he was even more sad, and let's see if he would release Yin Yu?

However, without waiting for the vast number of courtiers to express their opinions, the Zongren Mansion, which was watching the eighth son of the emperor, Yin Yu, "timely" sent news that "Yin Yu died in a prison due to vomiting."

Although the time of the "illness and death" of the eighth son of the Emperor Yin Yu was too coincidental, it could not be directly proved that he died at the hands of the Yongzheng Emperor. However, the process of "illness and death" of Emperor Jiuzi Yinyu was so rapid, how could it be explained?

Perhaps, after Yin Yu's death, the specific attitude of the Yongzheng Emperor can give us some enlightenment:

1. After expressing his attitude of "being compassionate and intolerant in his heart", the Yongzheng Emperor still believed that the death of the ninth son of the emperor, Yin Yu, was the result of the great happiness of "although he was not subject to the law of the land, he could not escape the punishment of heaven", and it was the fate that a "person who was unfaithful and filial piety, committed great adultery and great evil" should have.

2. After Yin Yu's death, the Yongzheng Emperor immediately made the decision to "drive Seth Hei's wife back to her home and strictly imprison her". Doesn't it mean that "the heart is compassionate and the heart is unbearable", why don't you even let go of people's wives?

3. After Yin Yu's death, the Yongzheng Emperor immediately ordered severe punishment for the official who "did not wait for the edict of the Emperor, but privately locked Seth Hei with three locks". Without the permission of the Yongzheng Emperor, who would dare to escort a prisoner like The Ninth Son of emperor Yin Yu without authorization?

From these three pieces of evidence alone, we can conclude that the Yongzheng Emperor was trying to cover up mi zhang, and was trying to cover up the ruthless means and death truth of his former death to the ninth son of the emperor.

In addition to the above evidence that we have found in the gaps in the official documents of the Qing Dynasty, the "Diary of Jia Chu" written by the Qing dynasty scholar Hu Juqing is more directly exposing the reason for the rapid "death" of the ninth son of the emperor, Yin Yu.

According to the "Diary of Jia Chu", The Ninth Son of emperor Yin Yu was escorted to Baoding Province, where the "Directly Subordinate Governor's Office" was located, in a state of "three iron locks and difficulty in sitting and lying down". In order to better implement the captivity requirements issued by the Yongzheng Emperor to himself, Li Fu, the governor of Zhili at the time, built three low houses next to his mansion and sealed all the doors and windows, "leaving only one mouth to provide food."

In this low room whose height was lower than Yin Yu's height, Yin Yu, who was wearing three shackles, could not even stand up straight, and could only lean over all day and struggle to survive.

But even so, the Yongzheng Emperor still seemed to feel resentful. According to the "Yongzheng Decree" included in the "Mystery of the History of the Yongzheng Emperor's Mausoleum", during the period of Yin Yu's captivity, the Yongzheng Emperor gave Li Fu several orders, strictly stipulating the conditions for Yin Yu's captivity:

Except for the inferior diet to be given away, all pens, ink, beds, accounts, books, words, and pieces of ice, nor a lamp of soup, shall be given.

It was a sweltering heat, sweltering heat, and under such a depressed environment, Yun Yu, who was wearing an iron lock and a handbag, fainted several times. Moreover, there is nothing in the room, and Yin Yu can only spend time in the sweltering heat, darkness, and loneliness.

In such a confined environment, even if the Yongzheng Emperor did not ruthlessly order "the hatred in his heart to be extinguished with poison", the ninth son of the emperor, Yin Yu, the former emperor who was dressed in fine clothes and pampered, would surely soon contract a fatal disease. Such a method of death seems to be more terrible and cruel than direct poisoning!

postscript

The Yongzheng Emperor reigned for 13 years, "worrying day and night, without any entertainment of civil engineering and sound and color", which is a rare "diligent emperor" in Chinese history, and the Draft History of the Qing Dynasty even evaluates it as "Han's literature and scenery". After the Yongzheng Emperor ascended the throne, "following it with strictness" was a rational move to promote the development of the Qing Dynasty and maintain the foundation of its rule; the ruthless means of "cooking rabbits and dead dogs" and liquidating political enemies were also helpless moves to stabilize imperial power.

However, the eighth son of the Emperor, Yin Yu, the ninth son of the Emperor, yin Yu, and the Yongzheng Emperor were brothers in blood after all, and they had studied, studied, lived, and grown up together. More importantly, during the "Nine Sons and Concubines", Yin Yu, Yin Yu and others did not confront the Yongzheng Emperor head-on, and even some contradictions did not appear. "Originally born from the same root, he was too anxious to fry each other", and the Yongzheng Emperor's methods of suppressing and persecuting Yin Yu and Yin Yu were also too cruel and too cold-blooded.

From this point of view, "ruthless is the most imperial family" is not a false statement; being born in the imperial family is not worth enviing!
