After Yongzheng ascended the throne, the cruel persecution of the brothers who participated in the "Nine Sons and Sisters" was brutally persecuted, and the Eight Brothers Yinyu and the Nine Brothers Yinyu were most severely punished, not only in the fourth year of Yongzheng (1726) by Yongzheng Emperor Yongzheng, they were imprisoned and killed, even the original name was stripped away, the Eight Brothers Yinyu was renamed "Akina", his son Hongwang was renamed "Bodhisattva Bao", and the Ninth Brother Yinyu was renamed "Seth Hei".

In the forty-third year of Qianlong (1778), Qianlong, on the basis of the fact that the Eight Brothers had no disobedience, ordered the restoration of the name Yin Yu (允禩), the restoration of the clan room, and the entry of the Jade Mu, and the Ninth Brother Yin Yu (允禟) was also restored to his original name and ancestral origin. At this time, it had been exactly 53 years since they had been stripped of their titles by Yongzheng Xuezong and imprisoned to death.
In fact, in this year, Qianlong also overturned the case for Dolgun, Duoduo, and Hauge, and officially promulgated the "Iron Hat King" system.
In the forty-third year of Qianlong (1778), Qianlong reversed the case for his two uncles only incidentally, and the most important thing Qianlong did in this year was to make great contributions to the Manchu Qing conquest of the world, but was brutally treated by Dolgun, Duoduo, hauge and others to overturn the case, restore their reputation, restore their identity, restore their titles, arrange for their descendants to inherit the title, and at the same time formally and explicitly promulgate the "Iron Hat King" system of hereditary replacement of the title.
For Qianlong to overturn the case for Dorgon and others, in order to evaluate the merits and demerits of the former dynasty under the prosperous era, whitewash the prosperity of the prosperous world, and at the same time reflect his own imperial mind, in order to stabilize the political situation, appease the clan, and also enhance his own prestige, so this is also to strengthen the imperial power of the gentle strategy. In the following years, Qianlong rehabilitated Yuan Chonghuan against Zhaoxue, which was also an important measure to ease ethnic contradictions and win over the Han class.
Qianlong rehabilitated the Eighth Brother and the Ninth Brother, and there are the following reasons.
First of all, Qianlong was so happy that he thought that if he did not deal with it, no one would deal with it in the future.
When Qianlong overturned the case against Yin Yu and Yin Yu, he once said: "Forty-three years after the fall of the Emperor, this matter is of great importance, and if he does not say anything, there will be no one in the future who dares to speak." Yin Yu and Yin Yu were still restored to their names, included in the jade, and their descendants were recounted together. This means that he has been pro-government for forty-three years, this matter is very important, if I do not mention it again, the people of later generations will not dare to mention it, so I will simply overturn the case for the two uncles and restore their ancestral records and original names."
As a decision personally made by the Yongzheng Emperor, in the past, if the Qing Dynasty did not have enough courage and boldness to look at the Ancestral System and tradition, it would not rush to break the tradition, which was Qianlong's absolute confidence in himself, and it was also the embodiment of his own hope to pass this on to future generations.
Secondly, this is also the need to maintain political stability and enhance the authority of the emperor.
When overturning the case for Yin Yu and Yin Yu, Qianlong also mentioned the Yongzheng Emperor: "There was no obvious sign of disobedience, and the emperor was remorseful in his later years. According to Qianlong, Yongzheng was very regretful about the cruel persecution of his brother in his later years, and as for the true and false, it was difficult to distinguish between true and false, after all, the third brother had also died in seclusion, and the ten brothers and fourteen brothers who were imprisoned were not released. Even if it was really Yongzheng who had this idea, why Qianlong released the Ten Brothers and the Fourteen Brothers when he ascended the throne, but never mentioned the matter of the Eight Brothers and the Ninth Brothers, and how to explain it.
In fact, Qianlong did this for the sake of political stability. What Qianlong received from Yongzheng was a good stall, not only was the treasury full, but at the same time the officialdom was clean and honest, and the country was safe and secure, but some of Yongzheng's practices in those years were still widely criticized by the people and the imperial family, so Qianlong did this not only to ease the relationship with the clan and make the clan more supportive of themselves, but also to further enhance the majesty of the imperial power and their own status, and to ensure the stability of the imperial throne.
Third, It is that Qianlong has always taken Kangxi as his example, not Yongzheng.
As we all know, Qianlong was extremely admiring of his grandfather Kangxi, so Qianlong insisted on abdicating after 60 years of reign because he did not want to reign longer than Kangxi's 61 years. Therefore, the idea of "benevolence" for Kangxi was also very profound for Qianlong. Therefore, Qianlong did not fully agree with some of the iron-fisted means and practices of his father Yongzheng, so the Qianlong dynasty did not completely follow the policies implemented during the Yongzheng period.
However, the handling of the eight brothers and the ninth brother is both a state affair and a family affair, Qianlong hastily handled it, it is inevitable that he will be labeled with the name of filial piety, and can only be put aside temporarily; forty-three years after Qianlong, the brothers who participated in the "nine sons and sisters" have all passed away, and even their heirs have passed away, and after the washing of time, the contradictions between the two generations are gradually being eased and eased.
