Zou Jiawei ( 邹家圍 ; 11th emperor of the Zou clan , Fengshun Kaiji ) , located in Huangxi Village , fengliang town , Fengliang Town , Fengshun County , Meizhou City , Guangdong Province , was founded in the sixth year of the Kangxi Dynasty ( 1667 ) by Zou Rui ( Zi Ji Hou ) , a general of the Fengshun Kaiji Ancestor Zou Zhaosong of the Zou Clan.
The whole village is composed of a three-entry, two-horizontal and three-walled dragon house, covering an area of more than 30,000 square meters, with a construction area of 23,800 square meters, a huge scale, typical layout, unique structure, and good preservation.
It is said that in those years, from the site selection, layout to structure, it was after the King of Pingnan Shang Kexi played the Shunzhi Emperor that the special state teacher Zeng Baiming personally came to the field to investigate the final situation.
Zou Jiawei built the direction of the Noon Mountain, pillow mountain surrounded by water, the east of the Jianji Mountain Range is majestic, the forest is verdant, the foothills of the ridge are flat and wide, the west of the Huangxi River green water loop, left there is Lion Mountain, right there is Elephant Mountain, the mountains are like a case, the distant peaks are pen tip-shaped, people generally think that this is an ideal house for the prosperity of wealth and talents, and it is an excellent place for feng shui.
The building takes the north-south meridian as the central axis, the east and west sides are symmetrical, the front is low and the back is high, the primary and secondary are clear, and the location is orderly.
Taking the vertical axis of the main hall as the base point, the fence dragon is higher than the upper hall, the upper hall is higher than the middle hall, and the middle hall is higher than the lower hall, and the horizontal houses on both sides are aligned with the plane of the main hall, using a symmetrical courtyard house structure, overlapping front and back left and right, and combining the pond in front of the house and the "wall dragon" behind the main hall into a taiji shape, the whole is harmonious and symmetrical.
There is a half-moon pond in front of it, which has the functions of water storage, fish farming, fire prevention, drought prevention and so on. The wide doorway and the wide laneway meet the needs of people's outdoor activities; The upper, middle and lower halls of the central house, the south and north halls, the flower hall, etc., meet the needs of activities such as joint ethnic deliberations, banquets, weddings and funerals; The living space such as the bedroom, kitchen and patio of each building unit is perfectly matched, and the necessary facilities for survival such as ventilation, lighting and drainage are perfect.

The residents of Zou Jia Wai are all of the same clan of the Zou clan, with more than 1500 people at the most, typical of Hakka villages living in clusters. According to the "Genealogy of the Lian Clan of the Zou Clan", since the second son of Zou Zhaosong, the second son of Zou Zhaosong, settled in the village of Huangxi Datang during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty and established a shrine under the ridge of Tianxin Village in Huangxi, after more than 600 years of development, there have been more than 30,000 people, more than 5,000 people in and around Zou Jiawei, and other places and parts of the world that have migrated to Jiedong, Jiexi, Longmen, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Guangxi Hezhou and other places and the world

According to legend, the site selection, layout and structure of the ancient building "Shaoshidi" (the residence of Wu Liuqi, a historical figure in Fengshun at the same time as Zou Rui) in Zou Jiawei and Fengliang Town were also visited by Zeng Baiming, the special teacher of the Shunzhi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, so the feng shui culture carried in zou jiawei architecture attracted much attention, making it one of the famous villages in eastern Guangdong.
According to the "Genealogy of the Zou Clan", "Zou Rui (1619-1689), the character Yang Hao, was the founder of the Hou Zou Jiawei.
After joining the army in the early Qing Dynasty, he assisted Wu Liuqi in pacifying eastern Guangdong and accumulated military merits.
In the twelfth year of Shunzhi (1655), the imperial court awarded raoping as a guerrilla town of the Chinese army.
Subsequently, because of his loyalty to his duties and outstanding military merits, he was praised by the Shunzhi Emperor and given the bow Lu Ya.
In the second year of the Kangxi Dynasty, he was promoted to the rank of vice admiral.
In the sixth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1667), he was specially awarded the imperial court the honor of "Three Dynasties of The Seal of The Crown", and in the same year he founded Zou Jiawei and established the Marquis Gong ancestral hall in the Huangkeng Society.
In the ninth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, he was specially appointed as the commander-in-chief of Huguang De'an Province, and commanded the military affairs of Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, and Guangxi provinces.

Although the founder of Zou Jiawei won a meritorious name for his military career, he attached great importance to education, so Zou Jiawei has always had a strong atmosphere of advocating literature and martial arts. At the beginning of the construction of the wall, there were two private schools of "Yun qi Xuan" and "Three Yu Zhai", followed by "Mingzhao", "Duanren Gong Private School", and "Living Study Room" to cultivate children, and teenagers practiced martial arts and strengthened their bodies in addition to studying, and it has become a common practice to reward the students with "tasting the masses" income, so since the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, there have been continuous examinations for literary and martial arts, scholars, and talents. The existing 1 sealed Shinto stele, 2 enshrined Shinto stele, 3 gongming frieze clips and complete inscriptions (and 4 incomplete) fully illustrate the glory of Zou Jiawei's history.
The red star on the wall also represents the revolutionary spirit of the place. Zou Jiawei followed Dr. Sun Yat-sen or joined the Communist Party of China in the revolutionary war years, and Zou Jiawei was the first to establish Soviet power in Fengshun. There were 8 revolutionary martyrs, including Zou Yizhi, Zou Lanfen, Zou Shouzhuan, Zou Qilu, Zou Yushan, Zou Yucheng, Zou Changbo, and Zou Shijing.
