The post-80s have been rooted in the mountains for 17 years, illuminating the way for children in mountainous areas to study

The Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger in 2022 is less than two weeks away. In the face of the upcoming Spring Festival, most people may be most looking forward to going home for the New Year, and for Xiao Shanwen, a post-80s teacher who has been rooted in Liangshan For seventeen years, what he is most looking forward to is that the children in Meigu County, Liangshan Prefecture, can go out of the mountains, benefit the mountains, and realize their dreams. According to a recent report by Red Star News, this teacher Xiao has helped tens of thousands of children in mountainous areas successfully realize their dreams of going to school. (January 17 World Wide Web)

Seventeen years of long road of volunteer teaching, in love and perseverance ushered in the blossoming of buckwheat; thirty-four years of long river, in the "out of the mountains, benefit the mountains" in the ardent expectation of "out of the mountains, benefit the mountains" to achieve "highlight moments". Greatness comes from the ordinary, the ordinary makes greatness, and Daliangshan is full of books and vitality because of Xiao Shanwen and his support group.

In order to make a promise, 34-year-old Xiao Shanwen buried his head in the deep mountains to support teaching for 17 years, using education to pave the way for the happy life of children in mountainous areas. In 2006, 18-year-old Xiao Shanwen just graduated from college, resolutely decided to give up the opportunity to work in the big city, signed up for the national western support education program with his family behind his back, and went to Daliangshan to become a rural Language teacher, and stayed for 17 years. In Meigu County, which is surrounded by mountains and relatively backward in education and economic conditions, Xiao Shanwen and his volunteer teaching colleagues gathered a little shimmer to illuminate the dreams of more than 10,000 children in mountainous areas, help them get out of the mountains, better understand the world, and create a better life. "I will teach them until graduation", a heartfelt promise, supported Xiao Shanwen to grit his teeth and persist for seventeen years. In the wind and rain, Meigu County is waiting for you, he sent away a group of rural primary school graduating class students, in his own way, with the most sincere emotions, to lift up the hope of the children in the mountains to explore new knowledge and explore the unknown.

"If a person wants to live meaningfully and live with value, he cannot just live for himself, but also use his own strength to contribute to the country, the nation, and society." Zhang Guimei, the recipient of the "July 1st Medal", voluntarily requested to be transferred from Daliyuan to Huaping County, Lijiang, and used his life to lift up the free girls' high school; Zhang Pengcheng, the "principal's grandfather" after the 80s, had a high-paying job, but resigned and returned to his hometown in Henan to be a teacher at his own expense. Whoever will eventually shake the world will be silent for a long time, interpreting the socialist core values of "patriotism, dedication, integrity and friendliness" with actions, dedicating their youth to the cause of rural education and poverty alleviation in the motherland, and composing a great hymn of struggle in the new era.

A century-long plan, education-oriented. Education is a cause of decisive significance for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and a fundamental plan for achieving sustainable development in rural areas. Daliangshan, which has always been known as the "forgotten" corner, is one of the most backward places in China and one of the most backward places in China's education. In the face of the large population of the Daliangshan area, but the educational level and overall level are far lower than the development status of other regions, only by vigorously developing education and promoting the implementation of the education poverty alleviation development strategy can we effectively promote the economic development of the Daliangshan area, so that the mountain children can better understand the world and transform the world, help them get out of the mountains, and better create a better life. From this point of view, Xiao Shanwen's great deeds of taking root in Daliangshan for seventeen years can be described as a contribution to the contemporary era and a benefit to the future.

It should be pointed out that at present, there are still many ethnic minority areas on the mainland like Meigu County in Daliangshan, where there are problems such as imperfect educational infrastructure, solidification of educational ideological traditions, and the construction of the contingent of teachers that need to be improved, and the development of education in ethnic minority areas cannot rely solely on the persistence and rooting of a single person. Therefore, while praising good teachers like Xiao Shanwen who are dedicated to education in ethnic minority areas, it is also necessary to strengthen the guidance of national policies, the development of technology, the equalization of educational resources, and the improvement of the concept of education for the public. Comprehensively deepen the reform of the education system, accelerate the adjustment of the educational structure, establish a modern national education system with a complete system, reasonable structure, fair opportunities, and balanced development, and truly ensure that no region of national education is left behind, and no child can go to school.

Only in the case of fair and orderly flow of national educational resources, more and more children in mountainous areas can change their fate through education, so as to get out of the mountains, let go of their dreams, and achieve a wonderful life in a broader world.
