The "post-80s" new farmers in Tianyuan District explore new paths for rural revitalization

Red Net Moment, January 20 (Correspondent Yang Ru) At noon on January 13, the warm winter sun shone on the green vegetable fields and sparkling ponds. "Post-80s" Luo Yaorong is buried in the vegetable field, the rain boots on his feet are full of mud, and the sweat on his head continues to flow down his cheeks.

Originally a chef, he began to become a new farmer in 2017, and together with his wife, he set up zhuzhou runze breeding professional cooperative, circulating more than 120 acres of land in the Shitang community of Qunfeng Town, breeding black goats, native chickens, geese, crayfish, sea bass, cockfish, yellow ducks, etc., and also planting oranges, sugar oranges and various seasonal fruits and vegetables. Now, fish and shrimp, mutton, eggs and green organic fruits and vegetables here continue to flow to the tables of Zhuzhou citizens.

The chef changed his career halfway through and began to learn to breed and raise on a zero basis

In Luo Yaorong's more than 50 acres of fruit and vegetable base, seasonal vegetables such as red cabbage, cabbage and cabbage grow vigorously; plump and juicy oranges and sugar oranges hang on the branches. In the breeding area on the other side, more than 700 native chickens and more than 100 geese are scrambling to grab vegetable leaves and corn; not far away, more than 30 black goats are eating grass with their heads down.

Born in 1980, Luo Yaorong was originally a chef and later managed logistics for a period of time in the enterprise. At the invitation of his classmates, he devoted himself to agriculture and became a new farmer.

"In the past, I could only stir-fry vegetables, never planted vegetables, and had no experience in raising fish and shrimp, so it can be said that I learned from scratch." Luo Yaorong first learned how to prune and fertilize in his mobile phone, slowly groped, and then went to Xiangtan and other places to investigate and master fish and shrimp breeding skills.

"After getting started, I learned that in fact, the technical content of planting and breeding is very high." Luo Yaorong told reporters that many people think that crayfish are easy to raise and have water. However, at the beginning, the crayfish he farmed was less than 100 catties per mu; through continuous exploration, it is currently upgraded to more than 300 catties per mu, and the crayfish breeding base of more than 40 mu is mainly for supplying some restaurants with long-term cooperation.

"Our black goats here only eat grass, never feed, and usually have to be fed for 2 years before selling." Luo Yaorong said that it is almost the New Year, and friends who need to buy authentic black goats are welcome to contact him, which can be slaughtered and sold now, or delivered to home.

Want to build a shared farm Exploration has not changed the original intention

"At the beginning, I wanted to build a shared farm and invite city residents to rent a piece of land here for one or two thousand yuan, and we helped plant and breed." Luo Yaorong pointed to the wide dish and said that although the initial exploration proved to be unsuccessful, the couple did not regret it, but threw themselves into it and began to build an organic green ingredient base. Ask people to plant more than 50 acres of planting bases, all of which are planted with seasonal organic vegetables, as well as fruits such as oranges, sugar oranges, yellow peaches and yellow plums. During the epidemic last year, Luo Yaorong donated 1,000 kilograms of vegetables to frontline personnel in the fight against the epidemic.

There are now six or seven restaurants working with Lo Yiu Wing. Every morning, he delivers freshly picked organic fruits and vegetables based on the number of orders reported by these restaurants. What makes him scratch his head is that when the weather is good, vegetables are growing vigorously, the cooperation of merchants is limited, many vegetables cannot be sold in time, resulting in great waste, and he is eager to expand more sales channels.

Hope policy support to achieve "one-stop" planting to the table

Talking about the future development and profit direction, Luo Yaorong frankly said: "Engaging in agricultural cycles is long, the return is slow, and after a little income, it is all invested in the soil." He probably calculated that the current monthly gross income is forty or fifty thousand yuan, in addition to labor costs and rent, the rest of the basic investment, continue to expand the scale, to achieve industrial upgrading.

Yuan Ke, secretary of the shitang community party branch, introduced that in recent years, the community has successively established runze planting and breeding professional cooperatives, Tianyuan District Tianmu Planting Co., Ltd., Longji rice planting professional cooperatives and other agricultural entities, and the majority of farmers have joined the cooperative to jointly improve planting and breeding technology and achieve increased production and income. However, because the connection between production and marketing has not kept up in time, the "bottleneck" of vegetables and farmers has yet to be cracked.

For Luo Yaorong, he also has a dream, that is, he wants to build another restaurant, process these freshest green organic agricultural products he grows and breeds into dishes, realize the "one-stop" from planting to table, so that more citizens can directly drive to taste, and at the same time, they can also make their products have a closer and more stable sales channel. However, because this is the ecological green heart area of Changzhutan, in addition to ecological construction, landscape protection construction, necessary public facilities construction and local rural residential construction, other project construction cannot be carried out.

"I will still strengthen my confidence and continue to explore new paths for rural revitalization, and I also hope to obtain relevant policy support." Luo Yaorong's words were filled with confidence.
