A few days ago, the Shanghai Translation Publishing House, where Ren Lao had served for many years, held a symposium on the publication of "Ren RongRong's Translation Collection" at the Century Publishing Park. The Collected Works of Ren Rongrong Translation includes more than 80 works of nearly 40 well-known writers translated by Ren Rongrong, with a total of nearly 10 million words.

Children's literature theorist Shu Peide praised Ren Rongrong as a highly respected children's literature figure in the mainland literary circles who has studied both Chinese and Western literature. He is not only a master of children's book translation, but also a master and master of children's poetry and fairy tale creation. Han Weidong, president of the Shanghai Translation Publishing House, believes that Ren Rongrong is "doing one thing well in a lifetime and doing it to the extreme."

Ren's ancestor was born in Heshan, Guangdong Province, and his father opened a paper shop in Shanghai, and when he was 4 years old, he was taken to a private school. He returned to Guangzhou from Shanghai at the age of 5 until he graduated from elementary school, returning to Shanghai in 1938. In October 1940, Ren Rongrong, who was in the third year of junior high school, went to northern Jiangsu to join the New Fourth Army. Back in Shanghai, he was very touched by Zola's novel "Slaughterhouse" and adapted it into a script. However, it is very unfortunate that a friend's house burned the script, and after burning it, he and adult literature were "out of bounds". On January 1, 1946, the first children's literature work translated by Ren Rongsheng, the novel "Fried Meat Slices Made of Clay" by Turkish writer Sadri Etem was published in the inaugural issue of Shanghai's "New Literature" magazine, and his journey of children's literature translation began, exactly 76 years ago. The important children's book varieties of Shanghai Translation Publishing House, such as "Charlotte's Net", "Elf Mouse Little Brother", "Swan Blowing Trumpet", etc. are all translated by Mr. Ren Rongrong, and they have made outstanding contributions to opening up the international vision of Chinese children.
