In the 1990s, Little Stream held the "World Chinese Children's Literature PEN Conference", inviting children's literature writers and critics from China, the United States, Singapore and Malaysia and other countries and regions to gather in Nanyue, and also flowed to the Baltic Sea to attend the 28th International Federation of Periodicals Publishing held in Helsinki, Finland; in 2018, the 14th Asian Children's Literature Conference was held in Changsha, and "Little Stream" received children's literature from China, South Korea, Japan, Nepal as a specially invited journal. After coming to Hunan Children's Publishing House, "Little Stream" continued to maintain its innocence and vitality, refining the purpose of "the small stream of children's literature, the peach blossom source of the spiritual world", and striving to achieve both physical and aesthetic: in terms of content, it planned new columns such as "Xi Ge Non-Fiction" and "Stream Double Exhibition", and focused on excavating new authors while making contributions to famous artists to create a highland of children's literature in Hunan and even the whole country; in form, the cover and interior page illustrations were hand-drawn by illustrators.
