Hunan Daily, 15 April (Reporter Li Chuanxin Correspondent Deng Chao) "Little Stream" magazine, which celebrates its 40th anniversary, held a symposium on "Inheritance and Innovation" at the Hunan Children's Publishing House today. The Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Writers Association, well-known children's literature writers and publishers in the province and other leading guests attended and witnessed the unveiling ceremony of "Little Stream" magazine joining Hunan Children's Publishing House.
Founded in 1980, the children's literature journal "Little Stream" is inscribed by the famous modern writer Mao Dun, which is one of the hundred excellent newspapers and periodicals recommended by the State Press and Publication Administration to children across the country, one hundred national key social science journals, and one of the top ten social science journals in Hunan Province. In the past 40 years since its inception, it has accompanied generations of children to grow up, cultivated a large number of outstanding children's literature writers, and is a good teacher and friend for the majority of primary and secondary school students, language teachers and parents, and enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of "Little Stream", and it is also a year in the development process of "Little Stream" magazine, with the support of the Propaganda Department of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, "Little Stream" magazine joined the Hunan Children's Publishing House from the Hunan Writers Association.
With the theme of "Inheritance and Innovation", the participants reviewed the development process of "Little Stream" and discussed its future development path. The guests unanimously agreed that although the "in-laws" of "Little Stream" has changed, the mission of "Little Stream" pure literature cannot be changed, the positioning of cultivating new literary talents for society cannot be changed, and it is necessary to continue to provide more and better spiritual food for the majority of children's readers. At the meeting, the guests also discussed how to give full play to the resource advantages of Hunan Children's Publishing House, realize the interaction of books and periodicals, and extend paper publishing to new formats and other industries, and put forward many suggestions for "Little Stream" to find an innovative path for the transformation and upgrading of children's periodicals in the new era. Everyone expects "Little Stream" to truly become an evergreen tree in the field of children's literature journals.
