Mr. Huang of Fuzhou told FM All-Media "Super Strength of Rights Protection" that one of his Audi A4L was sent to Fujian Yongda Aocheng Automobile Sales Service Co., Ltd. Yongda Audi Fuzhou branch is located at No. 29, Xingye East Road, Mawei District. In May 2016, Mr. Huang purchased an Audi A4L from the 4S store, which has now traveled more than 61,000 kilometers. On December 26, 2021, due to a scraping accident in the vehicle, Mr. Huang asked the 4S shop to find a substitute driver to drive the car to the shop to spray paint, including the front bar and the left and right front fenders. After painting, the car was returned by the substitute driver on December 28 and can be driven normally.

But on January 3, 2022, when Mr. Huang started the car near Hualin Road in Fuzhou, the dashboard engine indicator suddenly lit up, indicating engine failure. Mr. Huang, who has been driving the car for more than 5 years, met for the first time and did not know how to be good.

After finding the problem, Mr. Huang quickly contacted the 4S shop for help, and the other party asked him to drive the car to the shop for inspection. However, because the 4S shop was in Mawei and was far from the place of the incident, Mr. Huang gave up. He called a nearby FAW repair plant and drove the car over to check it out. After the maintenance personnel of the auto repair plant checked with the instrument, the preliminary judgment was that the gasoline was not up to standard, and the combustion was insufficient, resulting in the dashboard engine indicator light lighting. Subsequently, the maintenance staff eliminated the fault code and asked Mr. Huang to drive the car away, but Mr. Huang said that he was refueling at a regular gas station, which was unlikely to be an oil problem.

On January 8, when Mr. Huang started the car to drive, the dashboard engine indicator lit up again, still showing a fault. Mr. Huang drove the car again to the last auto repair plant inspection and found that the carbon can solenoid valve was damaged, causing the dashboard indicator to light up.
Mr. Huang believes that the damage to the carbon can solenoid valve was caused by the Yongda Audi Fuzhou store when painting the car, and asked the 4S store to compensate for certain economic losses. However, the 4S store directly rejected Mr. Huang's appeal.
How did the carbon tank solenoid valve get damaged? On January 12, FM all-media "Rights Protection Super Power" docked with Yongda Audi Fuzhou store. Mr. Lin, the service manager, said that the car has been used for more than five years, driving more than 60,000 kilometers, due to the aging of the carbon tank solenoid valve, the valve was not closed in time after opening, and it was stuck, resulting in excessive air intake, causing the dashboard engine indicator to light up, thus showing the engine failure.
In response to the owner Mr. Huang's claim that the carbon can solenoid valve was damaged due to spray paint, Manager Lin retorted that the spray paint is on the surface of the car, and the carbon can solenoid valve is installed under the hood, and the spray paint does not need to open the hood, let alone touch the carbon can solenoid valve, there is no direct relationship between the two.

Ke Xuezao, a special expert of "Super Power of Rights Protection" and an auto rights protection expert of the Fujian Provincial Consumer Commission, analyzed that spray painting will not cause damage to the solenoid valve of the activated carbon tank of the car. "Spray paint is for the external covering of the car, and the solenoid valve is inside the car, the aging and damage of the solenoid valve is a more common fault, which will cause abnormal shaking, abnormal noise and increased fuel consumption of the vehicle."
Ke Xuezao suggested that if the owner of the car, Mr. Huang, is in doubt, he can file a lawsuit with the court, and the court will select the forensic appraisal agency of the auto parts in the province to do the appraisal in order to further claim the rights and interests.
At present, Mr. Huang has spent about 200 yuan to replace the solenoid valve in the auto repair plant, and the vehicle can drive normally.
